Alt rock almost all the time (Green Day, Radiohead, Coldplay, MUTEMATH(FTW), Arctic Monkeys, TV On the Radio, etc.) Some rap or hip-hop like Most Def, Talib Kweli, Jay-Z, or Public Enemy Then Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Beatles If you know more than 75% of the bands above, you are awesome ( You are awesome if not too)

There seems to be many styles of music missing from the poll (Notably classical music which has been around a lot longer than those others ) My history of music is somewhat weird. I grew up listening mainly to classical music and Disney soundtracks. I was never vary interested in any sort of pop or rock music. Then finally in 2005 I started listening to pop music (keep in mind I was already 23 by then). I started with mostly pop-punk then added indie rock and a bunch of other stuff, and was really into it (buying CDs going to shows, etc) for about 3-4 years. Now I'm back on classical again, only occasionally listening to the other stuff.

I ticked all the boxes.. I like at least one thing from every genre everyone mentioned, and then some. Music is great.
Not all music.. a lot of music is crap... but all genres are fantastic.

I'll listen to anything that emotionally moves me, and anything with musical value. This includes Rock, Jazz, Classical, traditional music from other countries, and even some techno that is mixed out of real sounds (Amon Tobin, FTW!)
Rap and Hip-hop strike me as annoying, and contain little to no musical value. I have not heard many rap/hip-hop songs where I can hum, sing, or play the melody on a musical instrument.

Trey, you would like Bela Fleck. It's home to Victor Wooten, the most amahhhzing bass player in the world. And his brother. Who plays the... well... Synthax drumitar.

My favourite is either Scratch n' Sniff or the one with Kongar Ol'ondar. The name of that one escapes me. Tuvan throat singing ftw!

I made a Pandora Station of Bela Fleck, the Avett Brothers, Victor Wooten, and Dave Matthews Band. It's really cool. It has a bunch of really cool bluegrass and indie music. I think they call the Avett Brothers indiegrass. They rock.
