One of the biggest problems that arise when creating a project, is that not everyone knows each other well enough to know the skills each member possesses. What we, the Saxons, thought would be a good idea in order to help with this problem was to create a skill database or index. For example, Say a person decides to create a website dedicated to the tribe, but has questions about the technical side of the project. Instead of waiting until someone with a web design background looks at the thread, the person could take a look at the list, and PM someone with the skills needed. If the designer shows interest and has time to help, it would bring the project a step closer to being completed. Here is the link to the wiki Eventually the hope is that it will become selfsuficient and people will benefit from it and help others when necessary. If you have something to add don't hesitate in doing so ;D ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the purposes of this being a triad project, it was decided that we would get at least the skills of 20 people, and have the wiki page ready by the deadline. DFTBA ;D

Hi hi, good idea. You can get a list of my skills here: pogotribe.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=projects&action=display&thread=978 That thread has 34 responses so it looks like you've nearly reached your aim already One of the biggest problems that arise when creating a project, is that not everyone knows each other well enough to know the skills each member possesses. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So how will we go about creating this list? Well, At first a PM will be sent to as many members on the moon as possible. Asking them if they can send a list of their skills, and if in the future they have the time, they would be willing to answer questions about the subject if needed. [any skill is welcomed] This is only to create the first draft of the list. Once we have enough information, a wiki page will be created. This is so everyone can access the list, and if they have something to add they can do so right away. Eventually the hope is that it will become selfsuficient and people will benefit from it and help others when necesary. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the purposes of this being a triad project, it was decided that we would get at least the skills of 20 people, and have the wiki page ready by the deadline. DFTBA ;D

lol I had no idea this existed. Well I suppose we can add it to the list and sort it in the index.
Still, I did send a lot of PM's to which i've gotten many responses. I'll combine both and hopefully it will make for an awesome tool for the use of the tribe c:
Thanks

I figured yee didn't hee hee, but this is great because as a thread it would need to be constantly bumped and it kept falling down and to be honest I had no idea what to do about that. The fact that you didn't even know about the thread proves how much it failed in that respect. I know yee'll do a great job of this and I'm glad some of the information is there already to give yee a head start Tell me if yee need a hand with anything at any point and best of luck!

Still working on it. Might take a few days to write down and sort all the info I've gotten from all the PMs and RabbitWho's thread. I think it'll be worth it though ;D

Hi! I'd say this is the wrong place to post but we (there's two of us now!) are looking for people who are interested in writing and researching different topics of their choice for the What the Flip is Going On project. whattheflipisgoingon.tumblr.com/Pm me!

I've received your PM, so here's what I can safely call my skills.
I'm fluent in English and French. I've been learning German in school for quite some time now ( 4/10 of fluency if you want it in grade terms). I've been playing the piano for about 5 or 6 years now. I'm better at making my own music rather then reading notes. I would say I know a considerable amount of 20th century history ( although, I don't know if this would be considered a skill or not..). I've also been told I'm a decent actor too.

After 108 PMs and a lot of work. The list is done: southpoleofthemoon.com/wiki/index.php?title=List_of_SkillsStill, this list needs work to become as useful as it can be. If you have any skills that are not mentioned or you want to be more specific on a skill, please don't be afraid to edit the page. DFTBA EDIT: Oh, yea just for the record we reached our goal and multiplied the result by 5 ;D

Really? I'm the only person that replied that knows first aid? I thought that was just one of those things everyone knew now.
Since I seen them there I should probably add in general knowledge and a good knowledge of PC software and hardware.
Aw my survival skills where left out that makes me sad...though I cant ever imagine how it would come in useful for someone on the forums.
"Help me darkless I'm trapped in the woods with no food or water!"
"But you have the internet?"
"Uh...apparently"
"Then contact a rescue service"

Guys some of the stuff I left out was because it was kind of hard to make too many sub sections, but now that everything is done If you want to add as many as you want, there is no problem with that. Its better if the list is interactive and changes depending on who we are. So darkless if you want to add survival skills please do so. One never knows when it could come in handy.
For example say a couple of us want to meet irl and think its better to go camping. Maybe they can ask you what are the essentials for survival ;D
