Many of the triad projects here on the moon involve social networking and means of remaining connected and engaged with each other on the internet. We see this as a very positive step for the moon, but our triad discussed how we do not want to see the values and ideas that we so ardently discuss remain stuck on the moon. Being such a geographically diverse group is one reason the pogotribe is so unique, and so with our project we hope to take the values that our pogotribe community has established and apply them to effect change in our individual geographic communities.
We propose to begin with what we call ARK - Acts of Random Kindness. We ask that any willing participants perform an ARK in your community and then send us a photo, video clip, or summary of the ARK. It can be as simple or complex, as conventional or creative as you like. To clarify, your ARK does not have to fit under the normal constraints of a conventional "good deed". For example, today I went to the library and stuck nice anonymous notes into several of my favorite books. We encourage you to be creative with these ideas and help the moon define how we want to do good. Our goal is have 20 documented ARKs by MAY 9. Please email all submissions to SixthChainCourt@gmail.com. At this point we will start to examine any trends that appear.
Future "rounds" of ARK may be focused around a particular theme (ex: humanitarianism, environmental awareness, etc.) if we feel the project would benefit from such direction.
**After constructing our project and composing the above write-up, we later discovered that the Double Awesome Trio had created a very similar project. We completely recognize them as the original group to suggest ARK. But before you lampoon us, consider the different goals and motives behind the two ideas. Despite both playing off of the concept of ARK, they are actually quite different projects.
