Dawn was breaking at the SPOTM camp. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, bees were buzzing and everyone was happy that they hadn't been viciously killed in their sleep. It was an overall pleasant morning. Matthew emerged groggily from his tent and stretched his arms to the heavens, letting out a gluttonous yawn. He then looked around the camp. The only other person awake was Amythest and she was already approaching him.
"Hey, wanna see something cool?" she asked with an excited grin. He raised an eyebrow.
"That depends, what is it?" he asked suspiciously.
"Well, it's.. I don't want to give it away. You kinda have to just see it." Matthew narrowed his eyes. "It's worth it, I promise!" She assured him. He broke his careful gaze and smiled, shaking his head. "Okay, okay, lead the way," he gave in.
"Awesome," she said happily, "follow me!".
They walked together out of the camp and down the main trail.
"So what are you going to do when you get out of here?" asked Amythest.
"I think I'm finally going to follow my lifelong dream," replied Matthew wistfully.
"What's that?"
"I want to be a shrimp boat captain," he replied. Amythest gave him a quzzical look. "Yeah, I know, it's strange. My father was a shrimp boat captain, and so was his father before him. My mother always told me 'Matthew, don't you dream of being a shrimp boat captain, don't end up like your father leavin' his wife and kids at home all alone'. But the shrimp, they call to me. They say 'catch me Matthew! I'm so delicious!'," he was gazing off in the distance now, in some wonderful daydream. Amythest nudged him. He snapped out of his daze.
"Anyway, all these deaths and near death experiences have made me realise that life's too short not to follow your dreams. So that's what I'm gonna do. Follow them wherever they go." Amythest smiled at him.
"That's great, Matthew. I wish you luck in your shrimping excapades," she said. He chuckled.
"Thanks. So what will you do?"
"Oh, you know," she sighed, "I'll go where the wind takes me. Oh look, we're here!"
They had come to a stop in the middle of a small clearing not too far from the camp. There were some rocks and some branches but overall, nothing spectacular.
"So what's this awesome thing that you wanna show me?," he asked curiously.
"Wait here!" She ordered, and turned her back to him.
BANG
Amythest screamed and jumped in surprise and turned in time to see Matthew fall to the ground, a bullethole in the middle of his forhead. Her surprised expression quickly turned to one of anger and she turned again, fists balled.
"Damnit, Cooltiger! I told you to wait till I got to the treeline!" She shouted into the forest. There was a thud as Cooltiger dropped from one of the trees, landing on his feet. He slung Engesa's rifle over his shoulder and started towards Amythest.
"I know, I know, but there was such a clear shot, I had to take it," he explained. She rolled her eyes and shifted uncomfortably from one foot to the other.
"Well for that, he better be a wolf," she said, irritatedly and turned to look at Matthew's body. Cooltiger joined her a moment later. They waited patiently for a few minutes, anticipating any sign of changing, but there was none. Amythest sighed heavily and bent to close Matthew's eyes.
"Sorry Matthew," she muttered sadly. Cooltiger put a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"Come on, lets get back to camp," he said softly. She nodded and slowly raised back to standing, and they walked back to camp alone.

Matthew (foorganders) was killed. He was not a werewolf. Wolves send in your kills. Everyone else, do what you do best. Speculate!
