A couple of months ago, at the beginning of Dan 3.0, I submitted a large-size task that I think could be incorporated really really well into the roadtrip. Dan could do what I suggest in every city he goes to.
Would you consider reading it and voting to support it if you like the idea? If you don't want to click the link to read the idea, I'll also paste the idea below, and you can read it before you click.

Thanks so much.

Who is Dan Brown?
To encourage Dan to see things from other people's points of view, I propose that Dan find and interview ten other people from around the U.S. named Dan Brown (kids, teenagers, adults, old people, maybe even the parents of a newborn named Dan Brown). Find out about their life histories, their goals, their hopes and fears. See what it means to be Dan Brown and what the experience of being Dan Brown is in a variety of different places, contexts, and circumstances. This idea is shamelessly inspired by an episode of the This American Life television series entitled John Smith, in which seven men of various ages, who were all named John Smith, were interviewed. The story of one life (John Smith) was told through the lives of seven people who shared that name.
[It occurs to me now too that this idea owes something to Will Grayson Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan, in that there are people all over the world with your name who you might never meet or who, if you're lucky, can change how you see yourself and the world around you.]
