Ok so I know given the demographic on the moon, there are many who have probably never even heard of the Freemasons, or know very little about it. BUT nevertheless, since I've gotten dozens of requests on YT to make this video, here's a little educational trivia about everyone's favorite "secret society"!
PS - If you don't have a clue of what Freemasonry is...Think back to the episode of 'The Simpsons' where Homer becomes a Stonecutter. Stereotypically speaking, that's pretty much it.

I hate how my church(roman catholic) thinks you guys teach against us and what not. Its not a religion according to you(and the rest of the freemasons). I think youre an awesome guy who isnt worshiping satan, so I dont get why the church cant see that.

At first I was like, "I wanna join this group! I can totally fake believing in a god!" THEN YOU REVEALED THE SEXISM. I can't fake having a lack of penis. But seriously. k. What is the point of being a Freemason? Just... to say you're a Freemason? What goes up and down and the meetings!?

To make friends, grow closer to your peers, and lead a better life(I assume)

Awesome question, Bree. The point is that it's a club with the goal of taking good men and teaching them to make themselves better men through moral lessons. The meetings are done by a script that has not changed in over 300 years, and is done by memory. There is a kind of ceremony for the beginning and ends of meetings, and for when someone joins and moves up a degree. Aside from all the ceremonial stuff, what we actually do in the meetings can be anything from presenting philosophical/educational discussions to planning charity work.
Two things that may never be discussed in a Masonic Lodge are religion and politics, because these are the two points that divide humanity. (And let me tell you, IT WORKS!!!) This is probably the most unique point of Freemasonry is how this will bring together people from any religion, culture, political background, or even sexual orientation!
Although it IS a fraternity (no women allowed) there are Masonic offshoot bodies that allow Women to join. The most popular is called 'The order of the eastern star'. (They're logo is looks like a colorful pentegram, but I can assure you that when you learn the symbolism behind it, it's meaning is far from what it looks like it means! This is one of the things that masonophobic religious fundamentalists LOVE to attack.)
Also - France has it's own version of Freemasonry (Which they still call Freemasonry, but isn't properly recognized by mainstream Freemasons) that allow women to join. It's called co-masonry and is becoming very popular in western Europe. From what I hear, they're pretty bang on in terms of replicating genuine Freemasonry.
Picnic - Yeah you're exactly right. Ratzinger (Pope Benedict) HAS directly accused members of Freemasonry of being "in a grave state of sin and unfit to receive communion" because our teachings "oppose Christ". And that is simply ludicrous and incorrect. (The Vatican has accused Freemasonry of being something it's not.) Freemasonry is not a religion, there is nothing in it that conflicts with ANY religious doctrine or dogma of any kind...And a lot of our teachings ARE infact based on parts of the King James version Bible...I know it sounds weird, cuz we're not a religion...But the point is that we're simply drawing moral lessons from the Bible. It still doesn't exclude people of other religions.

I think alot of it deals with it being secretive, and that leads to conspiracy, which usually after a long period of time blurs, so you cant tell the truth from the myth.

Yeah that's pretty much it. The imagination is a pretty powerful thing, and when combined with a little fear of the unknown and paranoia - Leads to stuff like this:
