I'm actually surprised at one thing right now: Nobody's actually asked me how I managed to see the movie.

My review of your review: -What's your point about Hoffman's looks? 1.Why do they matter, and 2.Why should that say anything about his intelligence? (Just wondering why you felt that was necessary)
-I do agree that this one was a step-down from SAW VI, and that it could have had a much much deeper story. Pretty disappointing, especially since it's the (supposed) last film.
-I didn't necessarily think it was dumb, but I do think it wasn't a really great sequel. Honestly, it didn't feel so much like a SAW movie to me, it was almost like when they make a sequel with the same concept, but the characters are different (Like Final Destination). Which, to me, didn't make sense for SAW, since none of the other movies did this (except 2...). So basically, I don't really think this did much justice in terms of "the final chapter".
-Completely agree with what you said about the public trap (except for when you said "It's SAW, what do you ecxpect", because honestly, I watch SAW for the story first and the traps second. So I did expect a deeper meaning...which obviously wasn't delivered.
-Lots of blood? No, honestly, I found the lack of gore surprising. After watching the interview with Cary Elwes, and him saying "it's the bloodies movie I've ever seen" [sic] I was expecting a lot more...and it was actually really disappointing how little blood there actually was. (Especially compared to SAW IV, V, and VI). I do completely agree that SAW VI's opening was extremely cringe-worthy.
-I also disliked the whole group-sesion thing...also adds to what I was saying about it not feeling like a SAW movie.
-You said SAW III and SAW VI has the most interesting traps. I disagree about III, I think III's traps were interesting, but I liked V and IV's more.
-I also thought the traps in SAW 3D were a bit...boring...the first one (public one) was pretty cool. But Oh My God, when you said the traps in SAW 3D were more like Mario levels, it's so true! Avoid the spikes! Lol, what was the second trap again? (You said that was probably your favorite...was that the car one? Because I thought that was pretty cool. One of the best). As for the last trap, are you refering to the "hooks" or something else? (Because honestly, the traps in this movie, other than the car one, the beginning one and the hooks, aren't too memorable...) If you're talking about the hooks, that one was just awesome...in the fact of what happened to him.
-Completely agree about the first half being good, but just, in my opinion, getting a bit boring the second half.
-Loose ends! Almost none of them were addressed! Which pissed me off a ton. I mean, yeah, they showed how ----- was working with Jiggy the whole time, but that wasn't anything we didn't already know. It just seemed like there was so many things that weren't addressed. And to me, there really wasn't a big reveal at the end like most of the others have. (My favorite being IV)
What almost disappoints me the most is that Kevin Greutert, the guy who directed VI, also directed this one...and yet VI was so much deeper.
Also, I do hope they make an 8, even if it's just a montage of explanations of how everything happened. (Actually, I think I'd prefer that.)

I shouldn't have said "looks", but more of that he seems like such a knucklehead.
