We don't really need this test to answer the question. We're not. Even Dan has admitted that.
Also, Michael is busy working on the Chameleon Circuit album. Even if that task did make it to the top of the Decision Engine, and for some reason Dan accepted it (I don't think he would), Michael may not want to be rehired. Even if Michael would accept the offer, what if Dan doesn't want to work with him? We may be able to force Dan to rehire him, but we can't force them to properly work together. It could be a stressful, awkward, strained environment that Dan 3.0 doesn't need. Or it couldn't. I don't know. But it's not a risk I want to take. If they want to work together again, they will work together again, with or without our input.
Voted down. :/

He's on a new gig now, there wouldn't be a point rehiring him. We don't know what happened behind the scenes, and most likely we'll never know.

dan is still fun to watch so whats the big deal? that's the big deal. watching a 20 year old manchild making sandcastles, painting portraits and shaking hands is not fun, at least not as fun as dan's old videos dan 3.0 is turning out to be a massive disappointment, and even if you don't take into account what we were promised, it's still worse than his old stuff : (

Cuz all the 12 year olds will vote for more mature and interesting topics instead of the crap hes doing now, right? My point was more to suggest more "mature and interesting" topics so that they could eventually weed out the inane ones that seem to leave everyone complaining that the project is a failure because the tasks accepted have no substance. I think it's meaningless to complain about the tasks themselves, but completely justified to complain about the method by which tasks are accepted and carried out. This "Decision Engine" is a clunky mess and I'm waiting for some of the these technical changes in it to take effect. Interestingly enough, what is Dan supposed to do in the event of a contradictory decision? Example: Dan's beard has been the cause of as much controversy as Aranda lately. I believe Dan was actually told to grow a beard as one of the tasks. However, there are multiple tasks out there telling him to shave the thing off. If one of them reaches the point where it can be accepted, does he shave? Or is it negated by the previous task? Are these things anyone actually thought about the process? Any task that extends any length of time is going to have people wanting it to end, so at what point do these things end?

Things end when the viewers say they end. If the viewers say they should start again, they should start again. If viewers want them to end again, they should end again. And so on.
Contradictory decisions really isn't a hard thing to deal with. It's common sense, really. Dan may have been told to grow a beard 3 months ago, but he's been told a billion times this past week to shave it. So he shaves it. We changed our minds. Why is that a big deal? That's normal. If a newer task negates an older task, the newer task should always prevail.
I mean, if you decided when you were 12 years old that you would never have sex ever, would a decision you made 10 years earlier really stop you from having sex at 22? No, that'd just be silly.
It's not like this is a revolutionary way to deal with the project. Dan even addressed this in his Dan 3.0 FAQ video.

Michael Aranda has left. Sadly, he did not leave his awesome hair.

You have a good point that I didn't really consider, so I'll just leave it at that.
