now, now... I know a great majority of you think the project isn't going very well. I've seen the comments on Dan's videos go from excitement down to yelling at Dan for doing D3P0 the "wrong" way.
this actually dampens my mood, knowing that people that were once supporting Dan's actions are no longer behind him at all. I don't think that negatively commenting every consecutive video is going to help him figure the project out any more than no one saying anything! of course some criticism is acceptable and quite necessary for Dan 3.0 to continue successfully, but I feel like everyone has been being so harsh on the project lately.
I know everyone's upset that he's not letting us be in total control of his life, but I'm fairly positive he announced in one of his first episodes that he was only going to pay attention to the highest rated tasks and that most would be the smaller ones. even though he's not regularly completing tasks, he's on the roadtrip right now, which from the beginning was a major task! I don't think everyone is giving him enough credit for what he has accomplished thus far.
as for the Michael Aranda situation, I don't really think it's anyone's business either, I think it's kind of ridiculous that people would bring that up after reading Michael's response anyways. it has created way too much drama piled onto this fun, spontaneous project. like Dan just said in his latest video, we just gotta put this behind us. it wasn't our business in the first place.
basically, I just wanted to come on here to tell everyone to stay positive for him! he needs it with all of this horrible negativity. with our support, I'm positive the project will come back to what you want it to be if you submit to the decision engine and form collations with one another! Dan even recommended (at the Boston gathering) leaving video responses on his videos and connecting with each other through similar thoughts and ideas.
we still have a long time before the project is over, we can make it into whatever we want with optimistic attitudes! thanks for reading (if ya did).
also- these are my thoughts and only my thoughts. you may agree, you may disagree. I'd actually love to hear your opposing thoughts as long as they're not rudely composed. I respect you, you respect me.
