Wait, what? What had you excited about it in the first place? This is the only trailer, and it was released 6 months ago.
Anyway, yeah, it's... a disappointing trailer. But there's a reason for that. When this trailer was released, the game was very much still in development. It was released at E3 as a small taste, not to showcase the game in all of its glory. Quite a bit of what you see in this trailer could change. This could also be a poorly made trailer (it focuses too much on fighting, which I believe was intentional for the purposes of E3).
I'm buying it either way, though. I'm too much of a fan of the series not to.

I was excited because it was a zelda game. But, this just seems stupid.

I actually really like the visual art style. that being said I've never been that into the series. I'm not the most patient person with these sorts of games xD

It almost seems like it's pretty much every other Zelda game. While that isn't necessarily bad, it just seems too gimmicky for a regular Zelda game.
Toby is hilarious.

Actually, it's rumored to be quite different than every other Zelda game. xD Most notably, it won't be a dungeon - story/outside - dungeon - story/outside - dungeon - etc. pattern. Iunno, it has some pretty unique features and story lines. Just Google it, I'm sure you can find some stuff that's already known. I assume you're just basing your opinion off the trailer, which I don't think is a good idea. As I mentioned, it was meant to show one aspect of the game. There's so much more to the game than that poor trailer. I suggest you wait until an official trailer is released (as well as more general information) before passing judgement. But hey, whatever you want.

Oh, yeah. I'm iffy about the controls too. I feel like it could be too much, but I'll wait until I have a chance to play it.
Still, Zelda is more of a game where I would rather sit back and relax, not have to worry about making sure I'm swinging the sword hard enough or holding the bow correctly or whatever.
Looks like it could be fun. As long as the controls don't come off as a burden or incredibly noticeable, I'll really, really enjoy the MotionPlus thing. But the second they start to annoy me, bleh. BLEH.
In any case, I think the controls will be more fine tuned than say... Wii Sports Resort. I hope. I pray.

I still haven't bought the MotionPlus. It isn't worth it yet for the number of games there are for it yet.

well in my family resort alone made the plus worth it. but hey. I don't know I haven't seen anything "gimmicky" to be gimmicky there needs to be a gimmick hence the name. I've seen no decernable gimmick

My biggest problem with the Wii is that damn controller.
I mean, yes, I was excited for it initially - it was a neat idea - but it is more of a hindrance to good game play. If Zelda was an FPS, then I'd me more excited, but Zelda isn't an FPS, it's an adventure game.
I'm happy with them taking the core to a new dimension - rather then the usual story-dungeon-story-dungeon-et cetera - but unless they have a mode that you can play with a Gamecube controller, I probably won't get it. Twilight Princess had this same problem.

^The only games I've ever been annoyed with the controller have been FPS games. XDXD

^The only games I've ever been annoyed with the controller have been FPS games. XDXD Hows that for irony! but I agree. wiimotes usually work great for me, but some people somehow have never been able to get them, it confuses me, the point was to be intuitive so even people who haven't played a lot of games have had issues, but it seems mostly serious gamers are whining about the wiimotes now.

The wiimote's a bitch when you have Muscular Dystrophy. I've been consistently angry with it.
