There's a story here and trust me, it's not lies. I wish it was a lie but no, those days were hell for me. I don't have internet, I am sick, everything I tried to do went wrong and my friend shot a burglar on the shoulder. With my gun. Before you start doubting what I say, I can explain. I have a gun, a person I used to be with in the past left it at my place, along with a bullet. So, I had a gun with a bullet that I would use only when I'd decide to end my life (yeah, I was emo that time). The gun doesn't have bullets now. On Wednesday night, I was at her place, a burglar came in and she shot him with my gun, which I had brought along in order to feel safe as I'd go back home really late (I've been involved in fights and ended up being so beaten up that I forgot my own name for a while, didn't want that to happen again). Of course I called the police and didn't "finish him off and hide the body" as my friend requested, which was stupid, because the entire neighbourhood heard the freaking gunshot. My good act didn't really help me, because the fingerprints indicated that I am the owner of the gun and as I am not allowed to have a gun, let alone use it, I was the main suspect and I had to go through a trial. I didn't attend it, my lawyer did everything to save my ass. I have to pay a fine now, I think and then they'll be watching me for a while. Still, I am still a free bird. A sick, annoyed and internet-less free bird. I'll be back for good in a few days. I am glad they didn't think that I am a killer. I don't look like a killer, do I? My friend is a killer. She acts like one. She said lines that made me slap her so hard that her small bits of brain shook inside her head. Anyway, that's what I did those days. What did you do?

Strange. At least here, you can shoot a burglar as long as he/she is on your property so... half of that would have been legal =P

What did I do? Provided a shoulder for one of my friends who was the only witness (and also the victim) in a recent trial.
And, while it should be obvious already, no, I will not give any more details about it.

Zang, our justice is fucked up. At least the burglar will go to jail as soon as his shoulder is ok. And I see Aust. Well, you weren't the only one in a trial, if that will make you feel any better. And no, we don't need details.

I didn't have to go to the trial and I can't really go to the trial when I have classes. The judge kept that in mind.

Indeed! We need our lesbian influence, or else I'd have to put on a dress and become a male lesbian.[/Eddie Izzard]

She's in Greece. Wasn't that established? If she was in the states it would have been perfectly legal to shoot the guy

Yeah - see, some of us (like xanast and myself) didn't know she's in Greece. Now that I have that bit of knowledge - her story makes that much more sense.

Not as bad as Japan's legal system.
Wanna know how bad it is in Japan? Play (or watch a play-through of) Phoenix Wright

@rogers and Aust: This was so sweet, but I won't say anything more because I know that it'll come back to bite me on the ass one day. Xanast: The internet is another story. At the same time this case started, I didn't have internet because my provider was freaking stupid and still is, even if the problem got fixed. Lack of internet and trouble with police aren't related. Different problems, ok? Btw, yes, I am Greek, I think that it is on my Wiki page and yes, our law is fucked.
