Seriously guys! All the treads saying we are "dead" and "action must be taken" is annoying me now.
Dead would be if we had 2 active members and 1 of them were staff.
But NO, we have at least 100 members who are active. Plenty of threads. Loads of posts. Interesting people with stuff to say.
We are not dead, or dying. This is a good point for us to be at, active enough to have a nice number of people.
If you wan't more projects, just suggest them... then ask for people. Rather than waiting for someone else to run a project.
I'm happy with the community right now, and I think I may be one of the only ones.
So yeah...

Being content with what we have right now is a MASSIVE blockage towards progress.

Being content with what we have right now is a MASSIVE blockage towards progress. ...So, we should just spend the entire life of The Moon being unhappy? nty Many people spend their entire lives working towards something that they believe will make them happier. When they get there, they start working towards something else that they believe will make them happier. Then they die. It's okay to be content with something even though it could be better. That doesn't prevent progress, that's just being positive. I think your point, though, was that we shouldn't get so comfortable where we are, because that could prevent progress. But I really don't think anyone's comfortable here. There are many members who are okay with being here, but that's mostly because they're not constantly focusing on the past and the negative. We all recognize the negative, but not everyone goes around like a dick complaining.

However, that is the common sentiment. They don't want to do anything, they want to just enjoy what we have right now. I don't think we can change their minds.

Bree does it really make you unhappy to strive for good things? If so, why the hell are you here?

Camoon, I have now demoted you to "idiot." She never said striving for good things was a bad thing, she said that she was content right now. Of course we could do better. As Apple's co-founder Steve Jobs says "Are we happy? Yes. Are we fully satisfied? No. We can always go higher." (Paraphrased)

Camoon, I have now demoted you to "idiot." Kthx. But she is compromising progress (which will cause the death of SPOTM) in the sake of being content.

Being content never meant "I DONT WANT TO GO FURTHER."

Being content never meant "I DONT WANT TO GO FURTHER." Which is the difference between you and Bree.

You're right, in fact they do nothing even when they're not comfortable with the state of the tribe. That's all myself and Camoon and the others want. Is for us to put this behind and work on a solution. The only we bring these things up is because we're concerned with the state of SPOTM. Not because we hate this place and want to create a SHIRT-storm. So why don't we direct our attention to the Real World Project Duscussion Thread...
