I think your point, though, was that we shouldn't get so comfortable where we are, because that could prevent progress. But I really don't think anyone's comfortable here. There are many members who are okay with being here, but that's mostly because they're not constantly focusing on the past and the negative. We all recognize the negative, but not everyone goes around like a dick complaining. You're right, in fact they do nothing even when they're not comfortable with the state of the tribe. That's all myself and Camoon and the others want. Is for us to put this behind and work on a solution. The only we bring these things up is because we're concerned with the state of SPOTM. Not because we hate this place and want to create a SHIRT-storm. So why don't we direct our attention to the Real World Project Duscussion Thread... I want to create a SHIRT storm. Just sayin'. It's worked so far towards motivating people. Heh. (just kidding)

Don't fuck around Cam, this isn't the time for that. I'll say it again. The only reason we bring these things up is because we're concerned with the state of SPOTM. Not because we hate this place and want to create chaos. Let's come up with ideas, those that want to, to resuscitate this dead ... excuse me that bothers you guys. To revamp this paralyzed community. I suggest directing our attention to the Real World Project Discussion Thread.

In all seriousness though, I'm glad I've kicked up a fuss for the reason posted above. And I totally agree with you actually attempting to do something about this instead of pretending it isn't happening.

I do wish that people, instead of stirring up drama to get others to do something to improve the forum, would just do it in a more positive way. I wish people would say something like, "Hey, guys! I've noticed that we're a little more inactive in the Projects section. Why don't we do something about it? Who's with me!" instead of "This sucks. The moon's dying. I wish people would give a flying flip about this place instead of watching it die." And just to reply to an earlier quote: But she is compromising progress (which will cause the death of SPOTM) in the sake of being content. Hey, now. Speaking from experience: Bree is misinterpreted a whole lot. It saddens me. (Even I have misinterpreted her sometimes, and it still saddens me!)I'm content with my artwork, even though I know it could be better. So what do I do? I happily work towards improving it! Am I compromising my own progress for the sake of contentment? Hell no! Sometimes there are bad days, sometimes there are good days, but I keep working at improvement. Don't try to tell me that "your artwork and the state of SPOTM are two separate things", either. It's not the thing I'm talking about, it's the idea.

O.O Jesus! Erin is so effing wise! But yeah, the moon is basically divided in two: The ones who say the moon is dead and the ones who say it isn't... but let's see it this way: what we all want (I'd like to believe) is to make this place better. So maybe, just maybe we should stop fighting and just get something done? Or not done, more like just participate in at least one of the many projects that already exist... that way is easier to acomplish something, I think.

I think our problems all come from so many Canadians on this forum. Canada is full of them, and they have never done anything!

NEW MEMBERS (Started by me by the way, so don't think I haven't tried the civil approach) THE MOON IS DYINGNotice I don't use the word DEAD. I say DYING. I did originally suggest it was beyond saving unless serious action is taken. Serious action is being taken right now, and I believe people are finally taking this seriously. So that's why I don't regret posting it in the first place. I'm sorry for the people/person hurt along the way, and I apologize to that person even though he/she isn't reading this right now. But I don't regret it.

Erin if you wanted to change your screen name to "Yoda" it would work. Except for the part about you not being green, or hairy, or a midget....
But in all serious shiz, all anyone is trying to do here is look out for the tribe, some alot better than others. Cameron is trying to get people riled up, to make things move fast. Bree is content to work slowly at it. Personally, I think that we should be pushing hard, but not try to go 100% in a day. A quote I hear alot is "Good is the enemy of Great" which basically means yes you are doing well, but always work harder to be better, never be just content, you can be content, but keep working. Don't stop. But it also means it must be worked for. You cant just snap your fingers and fix it. Remember when Triads happened(first round) and everything was going great? Projects were getting done, and things were happy? We were making progress, but we werent trying to save the world. The problem is that when we got done, we were content, we thought it was good. Which we cant do.

you know the fact that i see the same damn people complaining and the same damn people who bash bree and then lay a blanket statment that we all are either fed up or content with the death of the tribe. also i keep reading about how these are the kinds of threads that get the most attention... uhhh rob sent a mass message to every person on the moon. everybody got an email with this thread pogotribe.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=projects&action=display&thread=5738&page=1 as a part of it.. no wonder its so popular and there has been so much activity it was set to go that way.. hell if i didn't know any better i would say there is a little "i hate bree club" that is ploting in the corner trying to make so much comotion. heck i would even be lead to belive rob is in on it which if so makes me feel that there is a long going amount of hate and irrational anger going around hidden by the ability to use skype to communicate easily.. i havent been here very long but if this community is only about causing pain and anger then maybe its not worth it anymore...

Just FYI, that thread was an important discussion among several important discussions that I wanted to highlight. Apologies if that sent a different message.

I think our problems all come from so many Canadians on this forum. Canada is full of them, and they have never done anything! Don't hate, we're a peaceful bunch. Lester Pearson did come up with the PeaceKeepers if I'm not mistaken. We Canadians like to keep to ourselves, we don't go storming around in foreign countries trying to "liberate the people" we just take peaceful walks (or go skating/skiing/snowboarding) in our oversized backyards, what to do with all this land...? =/ We also like to watch hockey, and don't care much about the politics. Most Canadians have their own Moose (the northerners prefer Polar bears though), and live in a quaint igloo with too much maple syrup to know what to do with. It's an easy life being a Canadian, we just enjoy it for what it is.
