Hey, anyone here like Lego's?
I haven't played with Lego's in years, but I've always wanted to get back into it. I used to love Lego's as a kid, and I was in Toys R Us the other day and me and my sister (Me 17, and her 19) and we both just couldn't get over how awesome they were. So basically, I really want to get back into Lego's. But first I need to get a job.
So what are your thoughts on Lego's?

You guys call it Lego's? Huh. I didn't stop playing with Lego until my little brother did. Playing with Dublo train with small kids still exites me (which is less creepy than I just made it sound), and I used to visit Legoland all the time when my brother and I were younger because it's barely an hour away from where we live. I just applied for a job there and I am feeling more hyped about it than I should. I think Lego is so popular because you can create whatever the hell you want. I remember visiting Legoland a bunch of years ago, when there was this area where you could build Lego models (not sure if it's there anymore) and this random guy was building a 50 cm tall model of 9/11. It was awesome.

You guys call it Lego's? Huh. No, we call them Lego's, as in plural. Lego only describes one...I've always found it annoying when people said "Lego" as the plural form. It just doesn't sound right to me.

mind if I correct you? ^ to play in DUTCH = spelen (verb.) speel Lego is actually deriven from the Latin verb LEGERE: to collect, to read , .. Lego = first person sing. LEGER = I collect BTW just to make sure DUTCH is the language they speak in Belgium (me!) and The Netherlands.. [/class] BTW I love LEGO (that's how we call them in Belgium, LEGO., more than one = LEGO blocks) I always used to build totally other freaking awesome things than what there was in the box.. ex. I made a spaceship out of a car thingy

It just doesn't sound right to me. Oh. Well here we refer to it as "Lego", the same way one would refer to water as an uncountable substance. If we want to refer to a single piece of lego, we say "Legoklods"... Which I guess means a "Lego brick" or something along those lines. I guess neither way is technically wrong, but it's silly being annoyed when people say "Lego" when refering to a bunch of 'em, considering that's what the creator did.

Yeah, you're right...it's not so annoying...and I do think it doesn't sound as wrong, knowing the origin and whatnot, so...yeah, I guess I'm cool with it now.
