I locked myself out of my laptop and forgot the password. Now I can't get back into it.

Try konboot. It patches your computer while it boots so it doesn't ask for a password.
Does safe mode disable it? That'd be way easier.

Did you try hitting it? If not, I suggest that method.

Safe mode doesn't work...
I went into system restore and restored it back to before the password change.

Now that you can log in, install KonBoot in your USB drive. It's a life saver. (And a nice way to get into the admin account at school. But shhhh! Don't tell anyone!)

Wouldn't work at school... they are done over the network, there is no OS on the local system. EDIT: I can't figure this out... its too confusing LOL. Where the hell do I get it from?

I wouldn't recommend using it... if you then leave your USB drive by your computer, you may as well not have a password.

Or you could do that. Although for a one time pass OPHcrack is overkill.

konboot takes 10 sec. If you're trying to sneak into someone's computer, 10 min is a load of time
