Hello, SPoTM, I'm a long-time lurker, but decided to register because I am very passionate about this task.
So I posted this task into the decision engine a couple of days ago, but, as happens a lot, the task got buried with only 6 people getting the chance to vote. While it is a big task I feel it deserves to be heard out, as it could prove to be a great experience for Dan and the viewers.
The task is very simply put; I believe Dan Brown should attend the finale of the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf, Germany. This may raise a lot of questions: What is Eurovision? Why should Dan attend? Why would this be worth the time and effort? All these questions I will explain as well as I can, and I hope to persuade you to help me make this a reality.
Feel your heart beat!
So please, if I have persuaded you, click on this link and vote yes:

If not, I'll be happy to answer any questions.
Due to my laziness and short attention span, I have decided not to read your lengthy post. Dan should go because it would get him out of the country, provide another big milestone task with realtively less effort than the roadtrip and allow Dan to experience an amazing thing he's probably never heard of before.
So please, help me get Dan Brown to Eurovision. For him, for you, for Dan 3.0
(P.S. I wrote this late at night and my firefox reset a few times so I had to rewrite. Because of this, please excuse any mistakes. Thank you.)

What is Eurovision?
Eurovision is an annual all singing, all dancing competition held across the entire of Europe. Any European country can enter an act to sing an original song, and then every country votes on their favourite acts. The entire event is televised across the whole continent, and the winning act holds the next Eurovision in their country.
So why should Dan go?
I believe this task would help forward the project in a number of different aspects:
1. Going to Eurovision would take Dan to Germany. More importantly, out of the US. Dan has yet to leave the country, and I believe Dan very much needs to get out of the country at some point during the project, this seems like a perfect oppurtunity for Dan to broaden his horizons and experience brave new lands.
2. It would give Dan a lot of food for thought. Eurovision is an event which pulls an entire continent together. For one evening, every country on that reigion of the Earth is in sync, watching the same event, hearing the same songs, experiencing the same cultures and interacting with the preceedings. It invoked pride for one's country and Europe as a whole.
On the flipside, Eurovision has come under criticism for poltical voting between countries, not voting due to song quality. I believe this topic would give Dan a lot to talk about, and would prove for interesting watching.
3. If nothing else, Eurovision is an amazing thing to see. I'm sure Dan would love the experience, the thrill of the live show. It's really quite spectacular and I'd be gob-smacked if Dan didn't have an amazing time.
Alright, but why is it worth the time or effort?
So what I've said is all well and good, but flying Dan to Germany and getting him into the show will take money and planning. But for good reason, this is a fantastic milestone task. It's Dan's first time out of the country, Dan's first time at a massive event, Dan's first time truly in the middle of something he knows nothing about. Much akin to the Road Trip, it would be another memorable hurdle in the D3PO experience, one Dan and the viewers would remember fondly. It would help Eurovision gain a name amongst Dan's viewers, and Dan would really be doing something completely new. Even think about Dan just going to Germany, how amazing would that be on it's own? Now imagine him attending the biggest European event (non-sporting anyway) of all time, and I think you'll agree that's pretty special.
