Obama turns out to be a war president just like all the other US presidents. Shame on the US and UK for using military. Their intention is clearly not humanitarian.
Did the US/UK interfere with Egypt? Of course not, because the US favored Mubarak - in fact, Obama did not comment on the situation till very late. Gaddafi will win if the US/UK don't interfere on the ground and the only way Libya will be free is after the US/UK take over and drain it of its oil. It is clear that they are both there for the libyan oil and it is a disgrace, as it is that the rebels are too disorganized to take control of the country.
The Libyan rebellion is very different to the Egyptian ones, egypt was a crippled country - libya is not. The Egyptian people were united against Mubarak. The Libyan people are not united, they are split, this is not a revolution, there are no protests; this is civil war. I'm not one to believe that peace follows war. We are at the beginning of what could turn out to be a very messy situation in Libya. This will have a negative effect on several economies. Especially in southern European countries such as Italy.
Israel kill so many innocent Palestinians, but since there is no oil in Palestine; there is no military intervention.
Shame. I pity the people who believe the biased US/UK media. The opinion of a lot of Europeans is very different.

Now is not the time to start a ground war. I think personally that if we were going to go into Libya, our economy would collapse into the ocean and die. I'm not exactly for capitalism, it certainly needs reform.. But we really can't get too involved. The Middle East will never be entirely stable.. In fact, no country is, but they're special. They've been unstable for the past... 2000 years.. Probably more, but I'm too lazy to look up stuff about it.. Right now, we should be working on finding an alternative energy source, and helping Japan. Also TheIslander I F***ING HATE THE US MEDIA. In fact, I've been going with Al Jazeera English for coverage on the Middle East. And even if the government promises alternative energy soon, that doesn't make it true: www.thedailyshow.com/watch/wed-june-16-2010/an-energy-independent-future

Oh right.
OFF TOPIC TIME
Basically, we should solve our own problems first. I had the same problem with Haiti. People jump so quickly to donate. It annoys me.

It annoys me. well, their problems are much greater than ours. If the SHIRT goes down you would like them to help us, right. And I also said this before but I will say it again. IT IS NEVER A GOOD TIME TO HELP OTHERS. When we are over with one problem, there is always something different we got to fix.

Wow, really guys? Um.. It's really easy to donate.. Text REDCROSS to 90999, donate 10 dollars. The US needs to help Japan, and that doesn't mean we can't either. Insane_Zang, if you don't "want" to donate to the Red Cross because you think it's not worthwhile, you can.. I don't want to say what you should do to yourself. AT LEAST spread the word.
