...If you could abandon one of your talents in order to get another one, what would be your choice?
I thought that this question is interesting, so there you go. Answer it and elaborate.
Personally I'd choose to abandon my music talents. Like, I'd abandon my ability to play the bass and the piano. In exchange, I'd choose to draw. Both abilities need practice, but I'd rather work on drawing from the medium state, than start from zero.
Your turn.

It depends. Can I relearn the skills?

No. Lol. Doesn't work like that. The exchange is permanent and it is not about what you can learn, it's about what you have inside. I've always been good at musical stuff. I want to exchange it with drawing talent.

I have a natural ability with computers, would I swap it? No.
However I have some skill in cooking I guess, I would swap that for graphic design.

I'd change my procrastination into motivation, hands down.

I don't really think procrastination is a talent as much as a lack of one... Just saying.

I can do a lot things, and I've been told I'm great company once you get to know me; but I have SO much trouble getting to that point with people, so very few know about the most interesting aspects of me. The way I see it, though, I wouldn't ever trade my artistic talents for social skills. I'd much rather have only a small group of patient people see me through the end of my shyness and getting to know me, than to have everyone be charmed right off the bat. In the end, that small patient group that took the time to really understand me will probably make for better and more caring friends that the random acquaintances from parties. Case in point? Even three years after our breakup, my first boyfriend is STILL my best friend. Can't say that for the one-week "relationships" some people I know have had. Anyway, back on topic. I would trade my writing talent for some math talent. Algebra II almost single-handedly killed my junior year, it was a nightmare. I was glad the graduation math requirements didn't go further than that. I'm terrible with numbers. I guess I "paid" for all my artistic and literary talents with a downright handicap in the maths. *sigh* And I wanna go into computer animation next. I. Am. Screwed.

My dad described it as my Achilles' Heel, as I was great with nearly every other subject. I've been done high school for 3 years now, and i've already forgotten nearly all the algebra I learned. Anyway, I'd trade my skill at driving my wheelchair to be able to walk. Is that cheating?

That is not necessarily so A lot of people capable in natural sciences and maths has playing musical instruments or engaging in creative activities as a hobby. You'd be surprised. Personally I would never trade any of my creative (read musical) abilities. They're too dear to me. I don't think I'd like to swap any of my "talents" for anything else, at least not that I can think of right now. I like being adept in what I am adept in Although I would like to get better at for example writing. But as I said I don't think I would like to swap any "talent" for it.
