Well, I feel really bad. Dan, there was a goal for the project. For it to succeed. It seems like every time I start a project, it is insulted by a few people, and then is goes nowhere.

:[ I feel like you didn't really understand our project.. The goal wasn't to collect information, it was to make matches for people that had similar interests. We ended up making like 40 matches, but you didn't acknowledge that we actually made any matches.

Well he did say he was going to grade truthfully. And his three picks were for the idea, not the follow through.

Great job to the Triads that stayed together. My Triad failed because one of the members got really sick and we could not get together I hope I get picked to be in the next "batch" of triads and good luck to the remaining triads and I hope we do not lose anymore of them.

Well.. I new Dan was going to criticize our goal and stuff.. We are really gonna get working on ours because we definitely failed on the following through part. but our idea was da bomb.

Ahhh, I knew he was going to point out the goal of our project not... Really... Being there. We knew that risk, though, but it's hard to actually get volunteers, we really can't... Force people to join in with our idea xD. We're going to make it work though, I'm confident.

Hey Dan. I hope you're reading this. I'm trying to stay as calm as I can right now. I'm trying very hard NOT to be a troll and not to insult you. Our goal as the Nerdy Norwericans Triad was not to gather information, it was to pair people up. Yes, I will admit, our goal was NOT specific enough, but it was impossible to foretell how many people would sign up and how many people would have matches. Exactly 50 people signed up and 45 people got matches. Now, I like to use parables and metaphors to get my point across. Let's say there are two groups of three trying to do a project on Ancient Egypt. One does a project on mummies and another does one on pyramids. The group that does theirs an pyramids says from the start that they're going to make a posterboard with facts on it. The other group is full of artistic students that want to make something that's really awesome, but they don't say what they're going to make. Now, the group that did theirs on mummies did a very basic posterboard that's very interesting, informative, and well done gets an A+. The artistic students ended up making a cross-section sculpture with and animated mummy, special lighting effects, music, and a corresponding PowerPoint Presentation to go along with it. Because they didn't set a goal for themselves, they got a D-. Which group was more deserving of the A+? The mummies group put in a small amount of effort, but set a specific goal for themselves, while the other group put in hours of work and didn't set the goal. Again, I'm trying to be calm while expressing my feelings in an educated way. Thank you for your time.

@conjoin MUSIC
You have a valid point, however, Dan said from the very start that this project was about creating a measurable goal and achieving it. Yes, your project was awesome. Yes, you did it well. However, one of the main objectives was to set a goal and accomplish it. In that aspect, you guys failed. But like Dan says, learn from your failure and it's fine.

Courtney, we realize that we lacked a measurable goal, but we did have a specific idea of what we wanted to accomplish; we just didn't have a number. And Dan didn't even understand the goal that we did have, so we feel like we weren't fairly judged. I'm not trying to complain or be nit-picky, I'm just saying this because I would like to know what Dan has to say about our actual goal.
