I've been told it looks slightly more pixelated, but overall, the banner looks better.
Also, can you be more specific OP? I'm not sure I understand what you mean.

The banner only appears if JavaScript is enabled. The solution would be to place the banner in its place without having to resort to JavaScript.
And the banner doesn't work when middle clicked because instead of being wrapped inside an anchor tag, it uses an onclick attribute, an attribute used to launch JavaScript actions when clicking the element.
As the banner is a central part of the site's design, I think it should be directly coded into the HTML instead of being inserted trough JavaScript and that it should be wrapped in an anchor tag instead of using the onclick attribute so as to make it manageable as a real link.
What do you think?
