Needles. Yes, I'm more afraid of needles than of death. I know it's irrational, but that doesn't change anything =P
Another huge fear is losing my mind. I would choose paralysis over alzheimer's any day. I honestly can't think of anything else I'm particularly scared of though.

I fear everything doctor/dentist/hospital-related. And I'm also terrified of going insane, especially getting schizophrenia.
I don't understand why so many people fear spiders though, I think they're cute.

My biggest fears:
1. spiders. 2. heights. 3. darkness. 4. chaos. 5. growing old. 6. death.
I'm sure there is more that I can't think of right now.

My biggest fears: things sharp poking me in the eye forgetting memories sadness not fulfilling what people expect of me spiders loneliness
I don't mind death. Sure it's terrible, but it's part of life (uhhh). People die, that's the truth. We all have to die sometime. Most of it is just a matter of when and how you die. Right now, I actually wouldn't mind dying. No, I'm not suicidal. Yeah, I do know that it would affect a lot of people who 'care' about me, and I have a whole life to live. But if death for me right now is what my stream of life is leading me to, then so be it. I have this whole thing about the stream of life and everyhting being all connected... BUT ANYWAYS. I swear to you I'm not suicidal. I'm just saying, I'd be okay with death. Not that I want to die, OF COURSE NOT! but... I dunno.
This thought just popped up now: What if the people fear death because they feel like they have not lived to their expectations, or are not happy with what they've done with their life so far, and want to keep living so they could eventually make up for it? The people who don't mind dying (not for all cases) feel like they've done what they world needed, they've done their deed, they are content with life? Do you know what I mean?
I think I'm starting to get off topic. But.... yeah.... I feel like someone is gonna say something about me now...

death is not very scary - been there done that
Tyrope basically covered it, I fear fear as well. not my own, for if I feared my own fear and only my own fear I would never be afraid - or I would always be afraid. But fearing the fear of others is a fear worth having. It keeps you on your toes as you try to prevent other people from being afraid so that you yourself do not become afraid.

Death is inevitable, fearing it is no different than fearing you'll get wet after you jump in a pool. I don't think death is something people should be afraid of, life is more painful than death, death is when all the pain goes away. Not to say that we shouldn't embrace life though, it's the only one we've got.
My biggest fear is potatoes. Seriously.

I don't think death is something people should be afraid of, life is more painful than death, death is when all the pain goes away. Not to say that we shouldn't embrace life though, it's the only one we've got. My biggest fear is potatoes. Seriously. Comparing the fear of death to the fear of getting wet kind of puts me off. While I can understand your perspective, I definitely don't agree that death is something people shouldn't be afraid of. I notice that a lot of people that do not fear death are the same people who are comfortable with the idea of an afterlife. Unfortunately, I don't share that same comfortableness. When I die, the most reasonable thing that will happen (to me) is that my brain will shut down and I will no longer exist. The idea of not existing to me is absolutely terrifying. I understand that if I don't exist then I wouldn't notice it, but that's the thing.. There will be no "I" to notice anything. Sure, the pain will goes away when I do, but so will the love, happiness, and everything else. I suppose my fear of death also stems from a fear of the unknown. I'd also like to know why you are afraid of potatoes. PICTURE RELATED... It's death :/ Attachments:
