The point is no one's gonna go for that SHIRT. Especially after two attempted terrorist attacks in the past what, 6 months? Now if an attack DOES go down and the bad guys got in through your "easy citizenship" everyone's gonna be like "Why weren't they stopped at our borders?!" just like they are now. Making it easier wouldn't make Homeland Security's jobs any easier.
It's just not happening, not now. To be honest, I'd rather keep those people on the waiting list now than to risk more innocent lives because we let terrorists just waltz into our country. Just sayin'. I didn't mean citizenship where you just walk in and say "HAI, SITZINSHIP PLZ!!!", I just mean a system that works to keep out people who shouldn't be here, while allowing people in that should. You'd be AMAZED to find out how easy it is to find out if someone is a terrorist. "What's that? You spent 4 years living in NYC, then went to Afghanistan for a year, then get a $20k wire transfer from an undisclosed source in Pakistan, then came back and immediately want citizenship? SURE!" But we don't. Because instead of doing simple checks on peoples backgrounds, we make all of our citizenship distinctions politically and waste all of our Immigration Department efforts on getting illegals out instead of making legitimate workers legal. Also, in regards to the EU, that is causing HUGE problems for all of Europe. Thousands upon thousands of people from Southeast Europe/the Middle East (Think the Turkey region) are moving in to places like Germany and taking severe advantage of the free social benefits they offer. It is literally sucking the life out of their economy, while simultaneously slowly shifting the ethnicity center.

I guess I feel you on that. But is it reallyyyyy as easy as you make it sound to weed out terrorists?

I Don't think all the illegals need to go. They establish a work force. one that a lot of Americans have too much pride to be a part of. The mean ones that kill your whole family should go though.

LEGAL immigrants. I agree with Bomb. Americans would do these jobs. And it would be better because those americans would be paying taxes to the federal government, unlike the illegal aliens. These Americans would be helping pay for the paving of roads, and the police, fire departments, public libraries, schools, and even the USPS (United States Postal Service).
