Do you read manga? If so, which and which are your favourites? Do you buy them or watch them online? etc. etc.

I read comics. And I read a wide variety of styles, too, including Asian-styled comics. Notice how I'm not using the word "manga"? Yeah... I'm not fond of the word. Partly because it's usually only used to refer to a style of comic and the region from which the style originates, but also because it's just another word for comics.
That aside, I'm trying to get into One Piece right now. I need something to fill the gap that Full Metal Alchemist made when it ended. I read Naruto, too, but I really don't like the fanbase that much. I used to read Bakuman, but I lost interest in it a while ago. I might try picking it up again someday.

Well basically the Japanese word 'manga' literally means "dark image", something like obscure image. It was first used by Hokusai (the painter) and refers to all graphic stories (comics, graphic novels,..) that come out of Japan. Stuff from the well known big eyes, freaky hair (shoujo, shounen) to seinen manga who have a lot of different styles (like the manga "I will give it my all... Tomorrow", which VIZ has just started releasing and is really cool btw. I read Full Metal Alchemist, but haven't read it since last year, so I've got some catching up to do. As for the Naruto fanbase, I think it depends on whether you're an anime or manga fan. Most anime fans are little kids, but manga fans are often people (like me) who've been following it since the very beginning in 2000 (scanlations). So did you read the newest chapter? Because it's pure epicness and brings a whole new twist to the story. Also, listing some manga and manhwa I'm reading/have read: Manga series that are finished: - 666 Satan (aka O-Parts Hunter)
- Akaboshi - Ibun Suikoden
- Akkan Baby
- Angelic Layer
- Death Note
- Dragon Ball
- Genshiken
- Jyuki Ningen Jumbor
- Majin Devil (haven't finished reading yet)
- Me and the Devil Blues (haven't finished reading yet)
- Monster Hunter Orage
- Pluto
- Rave Master (still have to begin reading this one T_T)
- Say Hello to Black Jack
- Shaman King
Manhwa that I'm reading/have read: - Journey of the Monkey King
- Shin Angyo Onshi
- The Breaker
One shots (being one (sometimes two) volume mangas) - Cross Epoch
- God's gift for the future
- Himiko Den
- Ikki Yakou
- Monsters
- Romance Dawn
- Wanted!
Manga that's still running and that I read when they come out: - AIKI
- Air Gear
- Ann Cassandra
- Beelzebub
- Berserk
- Bleach
- Claymore
- D. Gray-man
- Fairy Tail
- Fullmetal Alchemist
- Gantz
- History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi
- I will give it my all... Tomorrow
- Kami no Shizuku
- Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn
- Momo Tama
- Naruto
- One Piece
- Peace maker
- Soul Eater
- Sugar wa Otoshigoro
- Tegami Bachi
- Tenjou Tenge
- Usagi Drop
- Vagabond
- Yotsubato
- Zombie Loan

The only manga I have read has been Death Note and I've been trying to find another series as good as it. I really loved the mystery feel. I saw the two movies first, then read the manga and then the Thrid/prequel odd movie and then the anime. I loveeee Death Note. I think I might go watch the movie now though ><
What's another good series?

I used to be really into manga and anime in 7th and 8th grade. So...here's a list. Some of them are only first books because I just wanted to see if I liked the series, but ended up not liking it a lot.
Manga -Ultra Cute (first book only) -Tokyo Mew Mew (first book only) -Yotsuba&! (first book only, though I want to read the others) -Death Note (trying for a third time to read it, considering I always get distracted and forget what happened, so I have to start over) -Abolute Boyfriend (I got through most of it, but I just kinda stopped reading. It was okay, though)
Anime -One Piece (I used to watch a few episodes and I thought it was awesome) -Tokyo Mew Mew (I ended up watching the entire series. In retrospect, it wasn't that great. Decent, but not great) -Ouran High School Host Club (probably my favorite by far) -School Rumble (I really like it, but haven't bothered to keep watching) -Lucky Star (another one of my favorites) - Vampire Knight (I've tried so hard to watch this...I just can't. My friends may love it, but I just can't get into it) -Princess Tutu (it may sound girly, which it is, but it's also extremely bizarre)
Oh, and for the record, I HATE Naruto with a passion. At least two people have tried to get me to read/watch it and I just can't. It's awful. Also, I might be forgetting a few. And my tastes aren't exactly varied. I'm going to try and expand my reading horizons. I'm debating on looking at Full Metal Alchemist, because it looks interesting.

Yotsuba& is awesome I understand that you don't like Naruto since your likes are almost all shounen (except for One Piece and Death Note) But seriously, don't judge a series on one or two chapters

If you're into anime and/or self mutilation, watch all of NGE.
Watching the whole thing and then the ending feels like shoving a cactus up your rectum.

My favorite Manga would be Rurouni Kenshin, with Naruto and Gundam SEED as runners-up My favorite anime is, without a doubt, Code Geass, with Gundam 00 and Dragon Ball Z as runners-up.

I probably would read it, it's just that if I wanted to jump into one, it would mean spending a buttload of money on trying to catch up on the hundreds of issues.
