I just... I couldn't not get involved in the argument.. I think everyone has at least one topic they can't be nice about.. I have a few.. okay I have a load..

I very much want to work on being more productive, and work on improving my time management skills. For too many years, I've had problems with procrastination, and giving in to distractions. 2. Choose a day of the week, and every week on that day write a message or post a video here saying how it's going (set a reminder in your phone now! ) Actually, I've had this video blog idea floating around in my head for the past couple of months. I want to have a sort of "productivity watch" for myself. That is to say, I want to share with other people - in video form - what steps I am taking to help improve my time management skills. I hope that this project will be a good way to keep track of my progress, and maybe encourage or inspire others with time management problems to also change their ways. (I haven't started it yet mainly because I want to have a fun and quirky backdrop/background for my videos. It's silly, I know, but I don't really want to use any other part of my room as a background. *shrug* Even then, I'm sharing the progress of said background on my YouTube channel.)

That poster project is soooooooooo cool my recommendation was the phases of an imaginary sphere which can stretch and bend and pass through itself but which CANNOT CREASE WITHOUT EXPLODING! it's very exciting www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVVfs4zKrgk& it's fascinating and the stages are so pretty, especially when they show you about waves.. Why not start the project with the posters you've got on a white wall and as the videos are made the posters grow.. it will help motivate you to finish the poster project at the same time!

That's part of my productivity problem, though... I start so many projects, but I rarely finish any of them. I'm worried that if I start my productivity vlog, then I'll never finish my poster project. =/

I have a major problem: I spend way too much time on the computer, especially when I don't have any homework. Usually I'm looking at stupid pictures, playing games, or doing something equally stupid. I've also been wanting to start drawing more often, so I have a new goal for myself: draw for 20 minutes a day. This way, even if I start going on the computer right after I've finished drawing, I spent 20 minutes less on the computer than I would have if I didn't draw. At the end of each week I might post what I've drawn.

Good idea. I find the only thing that can keep me off the computer is not having a computer. Even plugging it out and hiding it in the closet doesn't work. It makes me late for things and it actually interferes with my life. It's got all the hallmarks of an addiction. But when I manage to get away from it I don't miss it. Last year I didn't have the internet and I spent 12 hours a day studying at weekends. Guess how many hours I spend on the internet at weekends now!
Next year no internet.. but I have to move house first, so i might as well emigrate again for the craic. Emigration is the easiest way to reinvent yourself.

I ramble.
I really need to quit that because people can get annoyed. It's like when I was talking to my mom's fiance about music theory, and how an accidental, alteration, or an extension can make an already good sounding chord sound ever better. For example, on the song "Have You Met Miss Jones?", the first chord progression is a 1-6-2-5 in the key of Fmaj7. What the author did to make it sound even cooler was change the 6 chord (Originally a Dmin7) into an F#o7. This adds a lot of color to the song, and puts even more tension on the chord progression; Thus making the 1 chord sound more satisfying to land on.
Wait, what were we talking about again? Lol, the last sentence had four words in a row that started with "W" xD

I ramble too! I think rambling is grand.. but the problem is that I see connections between things that other people don't see.. so they think i've changed the subject and start frowning, If I forget to make eye contact I don't realize this.. if I remember to make eye contact I tie it all back in together again and they realize why i started talking about the other thing. Eye contact is key, it tells you when its time to let the other person speak, and whether they're bored or interested.

I don't necessarily have a problem with rambling... but sometimes, I make tangents in my head, and then say something out loud that seems completely random to the topic at hand. In that sense, I can be very much like the character J.D. on the original Scrubs TV show.

hey, i'm planning on making resolutions like this as a part of my educational/all-around-self-betterment plan, as described in my thread in Projects "I want to keep learning! Please help Wikiversity", that i plan to carry out over the course of at least this next year. (one of those resolutions being: don't play any video games the rest of the year, i have better things to do. honestly though, i have a serious addiction for them.) but i'm excited about this self help + resolutions educational model and hope it turns out splendidly so that it might replace the way education/self betterment (the two really need to go hand in hand) is viewed and worked with in our world

The only way to stop yourself playing games is to loan them to your friends or give them away outright.. at least that's how it worked for me.. that or play them so much you bet bored or get stuck on the stupid level where you have to race your sister's Mexican boyfriend out in the middle of nowhere and you keep falling into the river...

It makes me late for things and it actually interferes with my life. It's got all the hallmarks of an addiction. But when I manage to get away from it I don't miss it. Same thing with me. A lot of times it keeps me up later than I would like and interferes with doing things that actually matter, but what makes it even worse is that I'm a completionist when it comes to viewing new content on websites. For example, I have a urge to view every stupid picture on websites like Failblog.org and icanhazcheezburger, even if they aren't funny at all. I've been doing a decent job with my goal, just need to keep it up.
