for some reason, there seem to be no mods in this forum.
why?
there seem to be too many admins, ithink some of them should be made mods (or you could recruit new mods...)

They will be getting mods, but we dont know when. And it will be not only their choice, so I suspect a democracy type process.

The admins have said moderators will be here soon and that they will be selected democratically.
Right now the new admins are settling in, so I'd (understandably) wager it'll still be a little while before we see action on this.

Hello argument I've had this whole time. Nice to meet you. Goodbye argument that no-one agrees with. I KID!! Yeah, mods will be cool. I do not think we should demote admins though. There are definitely not too many admins, just the admins aren't as collaborative with each other as I think they could be. And I <3 the admins. Not because they're admins, but because they're awesome (hence why they are admins)

I can't wait until mod spots are offered. I'm actually going to stop spamming starting NAO.

Actually, I agree that there are too many admins. It's quite hard to communicate everything to nine people. However, I don't think it's something we can't get passed. Because all 9 (10?) of us are amazing and contribute something to the team. So having as many admins as we have has its advantages and disadvantages, just like everything else. The communication issue is something we can work on and get passed, I believe. The admins are mods right now. And if you want to define "soon" as "within the next 3 months," then we're getting new mods soon!

do you know how many mods there will be? Nope. :O Good question though. That might be up for the community to decide, but I'm not sure.

It isnt realy nessasery for mods at the moment because I rarely see any reason for them Considering that most of the admins are really "Moderators with make-up" neither do I.

I'm all for Dan/admins deciding who gets promoted and who doesn't - just as long as it is done with as much transparency as possible.

To be honest I think we have to regain a feeling of peace in the tribe before we can decide something like this. The road has been a bit bumpy but i'm sure if we give it a little more time everything will turn out ok.
As for the Mods, I don't really think they'll be arriving soon. Think about it, right now we have to wait until the new admins and users are comfortable with their roles. The triads are just about to work by themselves, and the secret project will be announced after all that has settled.
All that said, I don't think we need them right now. The Admins are doing a wonderful job at keeping everything in place, and still being able to work on the development of the tribe.
Anyways if anything changes I'm sure the positions will be announced. Remember we are all working together and belong to the same community. ;D

I think we decided (it is subject to change) that the mods will happen when the admins decide "Okay, this is becoming too much work for us," but also, before July.

Moderators will make us moderate. We don't want to be moderate we want to be impossibly big.
When they come do not call them moderators. Call them "Community facilitators" or just extend the direction ye were already going in and call them "living gods"
