To everyone who has questions about the Newsletter, please send them to Nick or Speckley. I will no longer be working on the newsletter because of personal reasons.
I re-directed the messages that were sent to me, but for any further ones please talk to Speckely or Nick.
Thanks DFTBA

Sorry for the paper being later than expected folks. We are currently finalizing everything. It's turned out to be a real nightmare getting everyone together and on task and communication has been slow between parties and there are A LOT of parties. The good news is we ARE moving forward and hope to have the first one out VERY soon.
It has been decided it will be in a pdf format so anyone that does not have adobe acrobat reader or something else that can view that, you might want to pick that up. If you wish to have the letter emailed to you, please send a message to letterstogrover@gmail.com with the subject "Subscribe me"
Though communication has been slow and this turned out it was quite a bit to chew, everyone who had a part to play in this has done a wonderful job. Now that the ball is beginning to roll, I'm hoping things will start to smooth out as we streamline the process. In the meantime, thanks for the patience and help of everyone.
DFTBA

So wait, if we already sent an e-mail with the subject "Pogotribe" do we have to send another e-mail with the subject "Subscribe me" in order to receive the newsletter?

Sorry, should have clarified. If you have previously sent in a message, don't worry, you are added. This is just one of those "streamlined for the future" things :-D
sorry for the confusion :-) Also i will put a link in this thread to an online file sharing site where you can download the first one.

All right, here's the skinny on the schedule for Issue #2! Writers should start looking at what topics they want to write about just as soon as the newest issue comes out. April 14th - Submissions open! April 19th - Final deadline for articles. April 20th - 21st will be Editing time. On April 22nd, the final articles will be passed off to Daniel to make it look pretty. We plan on having Issue #2 out on April 23rd.
I'd also like to have another writers' meeting soon. Rather than having every single writer meet, I'd like to have individual sections meet. It's much easier to schedule a call that way. (And if you can't make it, don't worry! I'll post notes on the meeting(s) here!) First, I'd like to organize a meeting with all the new volunteers, and see where their interests lie. It'd be nice to place you guys into certain topics, but if you want to do an article on different things each week, we're not holding it against you. You just need to tell us what you're doing your article on so we don't get repeat subjects. Then, I'd like to have meetings with the sections. I'll be sending out PMs soon to see what everyone's schedules are like.
On an unrelated note... During one of my ustreams, Daniel suggested that there be a comic strip for the newsletter. I'd love to draw one, but I'm not sure I'm up for writing one. I'm thinking it would be nice to have Space Sheep (see below) as the main character, but I've got a lot of stuff on my plate already... If you'd like to work on this, PM me! (The character design - and even the design of the comic - is up in the air right now.) Edit: Oh yeah! I'll be updating the first post with more recent information on the newsletter, too!

Is there advertising space available? Or like an ads section for new cool projects? Or like a spot where, lets say, I don't know, a BOOK CLUB, might announce a new book they are reading, or a user might announce, a SPOTM Munny challenge contest he is running?
Just wondering...

There sure is! Just send a Word document of your ad to pogopaper.ads@gmail.com, with the subject line "Want Ad:____" If you want to send in an announcement, or an event, use the subject line, "Event:____"

Hey guys!
Submissions have opened up! If you haven't started yet, I would suggest you guys get writing! You've got until April 19th to submit your articles. =)
(And I still haven't sent any PMs. I need to get on that. I'm sorry!)
