6. stand in a busy area and preach the values of the pogo tribe and hand out flyers promoting the pogo tribe (not every thing has to be end world suck we could try for more members as well.) 7. go to every store in your town buy a small item and then thank your cashier (i mean over the top praise for every thing they have to endure) 8. give hugs to every one you see for an entire day I love all of those ideas rogers91 I was thinking more about the paper cranes idea. 1000 cranes = a wish right? What if instead we had Dan make a bunch of cranes and PogoTribe members could request that Dan send them one. Then we each take that crane along with us as we grant a wish--either as we do something we have always wanted to do (our wish) or as we do something nice for someone else. We can document our crane wishes, send the videos/photos/blogs to Dan, and Dan can compile a video about it so we all can see what everyone else did. I like all of them exept the hug idea. It's a really good idea but some wierdo would get Dan arrested for sexual harrasment or something ridiculous. As for the cranes, I think we could expand it. For each crane we recieve we have to hand out 20 more. Like blowing up the "random act of kindess" thing! I agree w/ that too the hug thing would be funny but not very realistic

Short-term daily goal: Dan goes to a fancy restaurant with his laptop, Danielle goes to a fancy restaurant with her laptop, and an intimate dinner is shared between the two via Skype. Dan can Paypal the cost of the bill to Danielle following dinner. THIS IS THE FREAKING BEST IDEA EVER!!!!!FRENCH THE LAMA THAT WOULD BE AMAZING!

i think we are all missing the point here: we DO have the power to 'make' dan learn a new skill. but if you were given unlimited time, would you simply acquire a new skill? to quote the movie 'Inception'--you mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling. Why don't we all start a charity? Co-op it with youtube, and create a charity to help some cause that isn't often helped: for example: no AIDS coverage, no CANCER coverage, as our drops in the bucket wouldn't help much there. how about we create a charity that works with youtube to enhance public school learning through means of technology? So would it be like instead of giving to charity we are making a charity?? That sounds really cool, but what would it go to??? Education? Health??? POGO DECISION!

I think Dan should call his parents, and take whatever clues from them and possible paper/home/schoolwork from his formative years, see the things he wanted to do, places to go, and jobs he wanted, and at the very least attempt to be the person his childhood self wanted to be. this is a really interesting idea because dan might then try to be like superman or something

(daily? weekly? goal) 3)read 50 books in a year (following in the footsteps of monday (kristina horner) of 5AG

First off, think of something only you would think of is way too demanding. I prefer be creative. By like, alot.
Secondly I can't think of a damn thing only I would think of.
Thirdly, since Dan got the idea for tribes and whatnot from Ted Talks, Dan should totally find a way to do Ted Talks.

Hey World! I think Dan should try to have his own Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Flavor. It should be called the Pogo, and it should have pogo stick and rubik's cube sprinkles, chocolate chuncks...other stuff...in vanilla. And if they ever actually made it, it could totally tie into the whole charity thing. (Every Pogo ice cream bought sends ___ dollars to _____ poor organization.) ULTIMATE TIE IN.

I suppose this could be considered either a weekly or a daily goal:
Dan should go to a retirement home or a hospice care facility and interview all of the patients. I think there are a lot of interesting stories to be told and, as morbid as it may sound, it might be the last time these people get to tell their stories.
I'm also on board for the Vegetarian/kosher meal for a month ideas. Diet changes are interesting.

Dan could organize a tutoring thing! i really like this idea but if it's about the education in the US there might be a risk that people from other countries doesn't get as involved (as myself) maybe helping improve the education in third world countries is easier to get more people involved in?

HEY WORLD! I have some ideas that I beleive would be interesting. My first idea is for Dan to participate in another cultures traditions and celibrations. Another idea I had was for Dan to possibly raise money for a charity ( maybe a charity he starts himself ) by holding an event of somesort like an art show or a face painting booth or whatever we come up with My third idea is for Dan to trade his life with someone for a day! (Danielle possibly?) what i mean by this is to do the things that person normaly does in everyday life like if he traded with danielle they could each film a video and dan would put his on danielles channel doing what danielle does and danielle doing the oposite and my fourth and final idea is for dan to face one of his biggest fears. ex. If he was afraid of spiders he could buy a pet spider or if he was afraid of walking out into the street in his underpants then he sould walk out into the street in just his underpants! ;D I really like the first idea of experiencing other cultures. Since we have a whole year I thing it would be awesome to make a list of every holiday celebrated on the planet and have Dan do something for each, even if it's as small as saying 'Happy Pi Day!'

OK, people, I'm serious, I have an idea that I truly feel would be very very good, especially for the first monthly goal (August) and yes, I don't think anyone else would come up with this. The reason being that nobody I know off recently went back and watched all Shawn's videos (UnculturedProject). In watching these I learned that the Pond Sand Filter that Shawn was able to place in Bangladesh needs maintenance after about 2 years, guess when that is... this August/September. We're going to get that thing maintained! We're gonna show the world that we don't give one donation that lasts X amount of time, feel good about ourselves and forget about it. YouTuber's aid like this should have longevity. I don't know whether that means Dan has to GO there, or Shawn has to go there again, or whether we need to contact Save the Children, or how much money we need or where we're gonna get that from (I realize Dan says "Don't worry about the money") but all these can be daily goals with as the main monthly goal: "Get the nerdfighters-funded Pond Sand Filter it's bi-anual maintenance". I signed up on this forum to bring you this idea ladies and gentlemen, don't let me down. When I submit this, this I want this to be the first monthly goal. There's an entire year to do all the other funny goofy things I read above and I think everyone suggesting things related to charity would be very happy to vote this one up. WOW, and then just now I read julievlogs' idea, I'm with you Julie, are you with me? I think this is an absolutely fantastic idea!!!!!

To be creative, one must create a unique idea, object, or the like: this is why I call upon DAN BROWN to undertake a quest. Youtubers such as John Green have risen to this challenge - a challenge which is not only an physical and mental marathon, but which is also a simple piece of what it means to be human. During the month of November, Dan Brown, I suggest that you write a novel. Participate in the National Novel Writing Month, or, NANOWRIMO.The general topic of the novel should be under the capable control of the tribe, who, I believe would choose by focusing on community values, global issues, and / or pressing topics which affect our world. Dan would choose the more intensive details, such as general plot, characters, setting, etc, because, after all, he would be the one to make it. This is an excellent opportunity to create a starting point for a larger project, as well as make a real, positive difference in the world. YES. YES. YES. A book would be amazing! However, personally I think that Dan would be better at writing about something like community or tribes or the Internet. More of a nonfiction book, perhaps written from experience. Just my two cents. Forced ideas can sometimes make it hard to write too, maybe instead the tribe could pick the title of the first chapter, let Dan write it and then, without knowing what he wrote about, pick the next chapter title. This might make the book kind of wacky and fun and at the end Dan can post it online somewhere so we could read it.

I don't know how original this is, but I think, to counter balance the whole McDonald thing, if that happens, he could go organic for a month. Or we could challenge him to only use public transportation for a week. Or both.

I honestly think that Dan Brown, should of course, Make a float for a parade and be in a parade. No only would that just be a fun experience for him, but for us to watch, and hey, we could possibly even get him to dress up into a ridiculous costume, or even a rational one
