This is a game from the old forum, created by The Skeptic. I think he goes by Chaos now:
A while ago I saw a page in a book about how funny results from internet translators can be. And apparently if you run text through multiple translations (i.e. english to french to japanese and back to english), the results can be quite hilarious. For example, I took text from a advanced wikipedia article about topology. Here's the original:
Assume, by way of contradiction, that T0 is not compact. Then, there exists an infinite open cover C of T0 that does not admit any finite subcover. Through bisection of each of the sides of T0, the box T0 can be broken up into 2n sub n-boxes, each of which has diameter equal to half the diameter of T0. Then, at least one of the 2n sections of T0 must require an infinite subcover of C, otherwise C itself would have a finite subcover, by uniting together the finite covers of the sections. Call this section T1.
Yeah. And then I translated it from english to chinese to estonian and back again. Here were the results:
Suppose, by contradiction, namely the T0 generation of non-compact. Then there is a very open cover C T0 does not recognize any of the limited subcover. Each party of two percentage points T0, T0 generation of the box can be divided into 2n sub-ñ boxes, each of which has a diameter half the diameter of T0. Then at least one of the requirements of Section 2n must be infinitely subcover C T0, otherwise ç subcover itself is limited, the limited coverage of America together. This is part of the so-called T1 lines.
Yeah. Now, what do you get?
This can be done with song lyrics or stuff like that. The more creative the funnier it gets ;D
