Ours isn't bad or anything, but the user experience isn't the best, comparing to more modern software out there. It's especially annoying you have to write BBCode yourself after you make a link, and the software overall just looks ugly and outdated.
I suggest we either pay for an IPB license or move to MyBB which is still better than what we have. Thoughts?

Granted, there are many slicker template forums out there - Is there anything (functionally speaking) this forum doesn't do that we need it to?

Functionally speaking I can't think of much, but a bad-looking site that can be a hassle to use won't retain that many people. I have no issue with this software, I'm just wondering if anyone would accept the risk of switching to other free but better alternatives.
