Actually the skype is going strong and has been since the beginning of SPOTM. In fact, we've just started a NERDFIGHTER + SPOTM skype. We already have a Facebook page, actually. Well... then you people are just crying wolf dammit! If nothing's actually wrong then it rests on your shoulders to make raise your own morale. I'm going to continue my own personal projects, but I wont work with a bunch of people who aren't willing to work themselves. I hope Joey's ultimate pep talk doesnt fall on deaf ears, cause hes got the right attitude. And it'll be people like him ill go to if i need to. But people like him are indeed dwindling. That has nothing to do with the tribe "dying." Its always been like that. If you guys want to improve things here, come talk to me. I have quite a number of ideas involving tribes. Essentially anything we tried would be experiments and tests, but it would be working to a very simple goal. Getting comfortable with one schedule rather than doing random, unorganized projects that rarely if ever get finished. Right now I'm working on Jesse's secret project. Its more of a personal project, but it means i cant really be bothered to help out others with their projects. Maybe after its finished I can come back to help you guys write a symphony or something badass. Until then, all I have for you is ideas. Peace.

I don't get it. This place is already a mix of "all-SPOTMers" and nerdfighters...

Every forum I've been part of so far has always revolved around something. Whether that be an online game, a certain hobby or even an online podcast. There's always a driving force behind any internet forum, and that is what keeps discussion lively and interesting, because there are new topics to discuss. Now the premise of the pogotribe in my rather isolated view is to become a succesful tribe and decrease world suck. I do know there's is much more to it than that but consider it the crude summary. But as has been pointed out as of late a large amount of people have quite and that makes it impossible to do projects, to achieve that goals or at least to stay entertained. Therefore, the driving force behind the pogotribe is draining. Thank you for having this as your first post. There are some basic things we need to fix before we can expect to get started in a meaningful direction. I myself have very crudely attempted to bring up this same point you masterfully simplified to "driving force" i would say there IS a driving force here but nothing to apply the force to. To put another way. the wheels are spinning but the car is up on a lift and can't gets it's wheels to the ground. (to all) What does Nerdfighteria have that we don't? Identity Our Identity is fading, it's still here but needs reinforcement and i suggest we lock down our noble cause, work on proving the values we set forth, and in general make it clear what we stand for. I'll be starting a thread about this soon About Projects in general, yes they are the "fashionable" thing to do, and i don't blame people for being centered on them.... But as Ferrrrrre said SPOTM is a vital project as well. Looking at how we are made up as a tribe, I actually don't expect anything awesome to happen outside of summer. the rest of the time, we have constraints outside of our control where even the most dedicated can't find the time. I won't consider this place dead till the newest post is a year old.

Ok, enough is enough... Now that we have all said (and repeated many times) in which side we are, it's time to start to do stuff. So yeah, I don't know if anyone has posted this idea before, but if you guys like it we can make it a project: We get our day-to-day friends (the ones we see every day ;D ) and get them to do projects with us. The projects can be done in our communities and can be whatever we want; we just post it so everyone gets ideas of what to do. That way we get more active members (because our friends could join the moon so it's easier to keep track of the projects) and they will be here for the right reason: be a tribe who helps decreasing worldsuck! So... yeah. That's my idea. Thoughts? Ps.: Sorry if this was not the right place to say that, but it just seems like the most active thread around And Skwiggs, I agree with you... xP

Way ahead of you - obviously enough - my blood drive isn't just for the moon - every friend I have who is able to donate I've convinced to donate at least once.
I could even go one step beyond, and have people volunteer to donate their bone marrow - but I won't, because it's a painful process, and I'm not going to ask somebody to go through with it

Hehe, ok. But I mean like different projects every... month? maybe? IDK, and have your friends to come to the moon and suggest projects as well and stuff like that. But yeah... And I agree in not to make people donate their bone marrow, that's painful... xD

Yeah, anybody who's experienced the pain of bone marrow donation first-hand can attest to that.
As for my friends - not sure if they'll want in - I'll mention it though.

Hey guys! Sorry for joining in so late, but if you want to know something, my Triad is actually ACTIVE still! WOOOO!!!!! We just launched our first project together, and we're very proud of it. More info in the sexy link: pogotribe.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=triads&thread=5714&page=1 Also, did I see Dan Brown on that list of active members? It's been a while since I've been on The Moon, due to school and my school's theatre department, but I thought Dan WASN'T active. I'm confused now...

the moon isnt going to be going anywhere anytime soon. we have plenty of time to figure things out. we could have a good thing going if we play our wit correctly. now since typing on a wii is a very tedious process, im going to cut myself short and end with saying i will never understand the gall behind words with lack of intention.

Don't you understand? By saying "the moon is not dead and we won't be dead anytime soon" we completely loose the motivation to actually do things. My mindset right now is that we need to take serious action, otherwise the "dying" moon will become "dead". Notice I haven't actually said the word "dead" because that implies that I've given up. Throughout this whole thread I've only looked for solutions towards the goal. And I've actually acted on these solutions.
