How do you feel about them? Would you ever date someone of another race? How would you feel if someone you know (brother, sister, son, daughter) was in one?
I personally don't care. It's not my business to judge anyone on who they want to be with. I wouldn't mind being in one, mostly because I there's plenty of attractive people that aren't black like myself lol. Race doesn't really matter that much to me.

It shouldn't, but there are people out there that still have problems with interracial relationships. If any of them are here, I'd like to hear their reasoning for it.

Personally, I'd rather not hear from those people. I literally have no respect for people who treat people of different races with such disparagement purely due to appearances.

I myself have absolutely no problem with interracial relationships.
However, when I brought up this issue to my parents (I was talking about how ridiculous it was that people were opposed to people from different races dating at my school) and they looked at me like I was crazy. They claimed that it wasn't a race thing, but more of a culture thing because the different races are so different culturally. My mom also told me the Bible was against it.
None of this made any sense to me, but those are the only arguments I've ever heard, and I think those arguments are quite flimsy and idiotic.

I personally have no problem with interracial relationships and none of my close friends or family have problems with them (at least that I know of). I would imagine that there are four possibilities why someone wouldn't date someone of a different race. 1) They're racist, simple enough. 2)They're subconsciously racist and don't realize it. 3) They are a mixture of 1&2. 4) They have close family/friends who are racist that they don't want to upset. I think it's pretty safe to say that none of these are legit reasons.

I actually come from a pretty racist family, especially my extended family, I don't quite understand why but they've always just been very blatantly racist with no explanation, reason, or even second thought. I don't get along with my family very well.
I do actually want to here that type of view point, I was in an interracial relationship for a very long time, and I support it completely, to the point I normally don't even realize it's happening, but because I have been around those who are prone to a racist point of view, or if not racist, that's such a harsh term a apologize for using it but I'm too lazy to re-type, then why against interracial relationships? I really would love to hear your reasons

My mom also told me the Bible was against it. Your mom is lying, if anything the Bible condones it. Here's a really good article refuting any of the interpretations of the Bible that were twisted to be racists. www.memorare.com/defense/racism.htmlThe only time the Bible says anything about not marrying another race was in the Old Testament and it wasn't even really a different race, it was a different religion. And the idea of it having to do with culture, I just don't even know how that makes sense in their heads... (even so, the Bible also tells you to indulge in the culture of other nations, just as long as you don't sin in the process) No offense to your parents or anything, but they are apparently extremely misinformed. Needless to say, I agree that in this day and age it shouldn't even still be an issue, its sad that in some places it still is.

It would be rather silly of me to be against interracial relationships, seeing as I'm the product of one.

I don't care if she is an Alien, I'd tap it, and marry it! Although depends if the Aliens would marry me?

My parents and I don't see eye to eye in several different areas of life.

It annoys me when people misquote, or twist the words in it.

The only thing race can possibly have an effect on as far as relationships go is physical appearance, which of course is linked to sexual appeal, which is one important aspect of a relationship (though certainly not the most important). Other than thinking X looks hot, it really doesn't apply.

I'm not too sure why this is a thread, but I'll go on.
I, myself, would go into an interracial relationship. What's the problem? I mean, I'm Asian and it doesn't matter what the person I'm going into a relationship looks like (You all know what I mean.) because it's more about the people themselves and how their personalities mesh and/or contrast. That said, I don't feel that they are wrong at all. Why would they be? This may be less extreme, but it's like looking down on two people that are together who have different music and movie preferences. It just doesn't make any sense.

Or, its exactly like looking down on two people with different hair color or eye color. Besides everyone in the U.S. (well for the most part) is a product of an interracial relation ship. How many people are seriously left in this country that only have one nationality? It's exactly the same thing.

Exactly. That's exactly what I mean. This entire country, known as the MELTING POT, would not be here if it were not for interracial relationships!

I think of myself as Heinz 57 - As in 57 flavors of awesomeness!!
I am predominantly Irish at just over 25% of my heritage but who cares. I am not going to not be with a Brittish person just becuse of the past...
If you get along with somebody then race is just really how the look. I think its a valid point that diffrent races have diffrent cultures that are available to them. But if you grew up in the same area or country then chances are you have quite a few things in common.
And to answer your questions.
1. Yes, especialy if she has a hawt accent... LOL 2. I would be happy if they were happy!!

If they can overcome their differences, why can't they be together?
