It has a following, but no followers. Joking aside, no one goes to the FSM shrine in their bedroom after reading the gospel of Pastafarianism.

I think Dan needs to make a serious video claiming if it was a joke or not. All of his videos claiming its real have him dressed up as a pirate and seem as if he is jokeing. Dan, please stop the madness. Dressing like a pirate is important to pastafarianism, since in pastafarianism, pirates decrease global warming, among other things! Also many pastafarians celebrate national pirates day

Either Dan Brown is an idiot or a hypocrite. Either: 1) He's an idiot because he really does believe in a creation story (which was purposefully created to be ridiculous), and by his own words, "all creationists are idiots", or... 2) He's a hypocrite because he attempts to teach religious tolerance while not only ironically insulting creationists (see above), but also being blasphemous to Christians. That's like trying to teach racial tolerance right after putting on a minstrel show. Dan Brown: idiot or hypocrite? You decide.

Dan Brown: idiot or hypocrite? You decide. Although I don't know for definite, I feel like what Dan is trying to do here is teach acceptance of religion. And I don't think he's an idiot or a hypocrite - he says he doesn't believe in any of the major religions but meanwhile he never suggests it is wrong or bad to believe in them. Yes, he says creationists are idiots, but that's only after he's looked at all the evidence for and against creationism. And there's actually probably more evidence against creationism than there is against there being a flying spaghetti monster.

Perhaps you should ask yourself why you need to understand? Are you not capable of merely accepting that which you do not understand with an open mind and respecting Mr. Brown's assertion that he believes without calling his beliefs into question? I think when I said I wanted to understand, or that I didn't understand I used the wrong words. What I emant was I want some solid clarification about what is going on. Kadie

Creationism is any belief system that states that some god or gods created everything that exists all at once. Dan Brown is a creationist. The contradiction still stands. Also, in this video on his alternate account , he quite clearly states that creationists are undeniably wrong and thus stupid idiots for believing what they believe. So, I agree, he doesn't suggest that they're wrong--he states it outright.

The wireless speakers that crackles and pops lays his blessings of that beeping noise that is made when cell phones are placed too close to them upon you. May the copper wiring hold you tightly to it's magnet. All Hail Bose.

The thing is, is people are being too close-minded. We have to look outside of what we THINK we know, or what we are USED to hearing. I'm not sure at all about what Dan has in mind about all this. I'm sure if he says he truly believes it, then maybe, just maybe he does. What's so bad about that? And whether or not he's being serious, we should thank him, because he is giving us a chance to learn a valuable lesson. We should take advantage of that and stop criticizing just because we have no clue what's going on. So really people, is it that confusing? Or are we making it harder for ourselves. Just food for thought.
