You should make a pita pizza! ;D Get a whole pita bread Apply pizza sauce Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese Add toppings (peperoni, vegetables, other meats, etc.) Put in oven or toaster oven (avoid putting in microwave), and set for 450 degrees Fahrenheit, Bake it until the cheese melts, and hold it in the oven for as much extra time as you like (partially burning the crust, or giving the cheese little black spots on the top, making the peperoni extra crispy, etc.) Enjoy! (requires a little experimentation, just to see how long you like to keep the pizza in the oven, or to find your favorite toppings )

One crazy easy and good meals I like to make is a zucchini pasta dish. All you do is cook whatever noodles you want, slice a whole ( or half if your not making a lot ) zucchini and chop maybe 1/3 or 1/2 of a white onion. Put the zucchini and onion in a skillet with some butter, salt, and pepper ( and any other spice you might want ) and let it simmer till its cooked. Then just mix the zucchini mixture with the noodles and a good handful or two of fresh Parmesan cheese. And that's it. You could also make fresh garlic bread by buying a loaf of French bread, slice it and butter the pieces and put garlic salt and Parmesan cheese on top. And bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Hope you enjoy it!

Whenever I'm stuck on something to make and i need to eat in the next half hour, I make a pasta with vegetable sauce.
Ingredients:
Pasta: Any pasta is good, but I prefer the smaller ones, like penne or gimelli, to spaghetti. Olive oil Garlic (1-2 cloves) Onion (1/2 medium-large sized onion) Vegetables: You'll need a few vegetables, varying according to season. This time of year I usually use bell pepper and tomato. I've also made it with peas, broccoli, zucchini, or anything else I can find. Keep in mind that with something like broccoli or peas, you'll need to cook them beforehand. Spices: Salt, pepper, optional basil, optional hot pepper flakes. Optional: meat (if you have some leftover chicken it would be good to throw in. You could also grill a sausage, which just entails cutting a sausage and putting it on a pan) Optional: sauce base
Instructions: Fill a medium-sized saucepan a little over halfway with water. Put on the stove on high. Chop or press 1 or two cloves of garlic, depending on your taste. Chop half an onion into about inch-long pieces. Put a smooth, flat-bottomed pan on the stove. Turn the burner on low. Drizzle a little over a teaspoon of olive oil into the pan. You can add more later if it's not enough. After the oil has been in the pan about 20 seconds, put in the garlic, shortly followed by the onion. Make sure to stir the onion and garlic about twice a minute or it will cook unevenly and burn! Now chop your vegetables (that is if you didn't make veggies that needed to be precooked). When you put the vegetables in depends on what they are. Usually you want to wait until the onions have gone floppy. If I'm making it with peppers and tomatoes, I'll put the peppers in for a few minutes, and just stick the tomatoes in for about 30 seconds at the end, because i don't like them very cooked. Make sure that you keep stirring twice a minute. Now would also be the time to put in your pre-cooked meat, if you have any. Check your water! Is it boiling? If so, put in your pasta and set the timer for the time on the box. Once the pasta cooks, drain it and put it in a bowl. When your vegetables have cooked, turn off the burner. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and spices--I always put in a little cayenne pepper. Put sauce over pasta. Eat with grated cheese or alone.
There are a billion variations to this dish, because it's so basic. You can make a tomato-based sauce, which is the same except instead of the olive oil, you put tomato sauce (other places can teach you how to make this) in a saucepan and then add all the ingredients. You could make a pesto based sauce, in which case you'd want to cook the vegetables separately, prepare the pesto (which involves no cooking), and combine. But it's great without a sauce base, too.

You must must must make a GREAT Jambalaya! This is my FAVORITE meal! And for those meat lovers, it has 3 animals in it!! It may take time to cook, but a crock pot can help I bet! and it makes TONS of leftovers if you're cooking for one, so freeze the rest in tupperware that you can heat up and eat! allrecipes.com/Recipe/Colleens-Slow-Cooker-Jambalaya/Detail.aspxAlso, I get almost all my recipe ideas from allrecipes.com, and change what I don't like and substitute for what I do like!

Fooooooooooood...... yum.
Some simple healthy suggestions:
1) Fry an egg or two for breakfast: grease pan lightly with margarine or olive oil, crack an egg or two and cook on medium/low heat. Season with pepper (and salt if you really want). Eggs need to be cooked gently! I like to flip it over once the bottom cooks so that it's not runny at all.
2) Chickpeas and rice: Buy a can of chickpeas, an onion, and some Indian seasoning (I use garam masala). Put the rice on to cook. Thinly slice the onion into inch-long pieces and sautee in olive oil until soft (~7 min). Add the (drained) chickpeas and heat until they are warm. Use Indian seasoning liberally. Serve over the rice. This doesn't sound like much but it is delicious!!
3) Embellished Ramen noodles: Boil 3 cups or so of water. Dice a potato, and slice a carrot or two into circles and boil for 10 min. or until almost cooked. Add some diced sweet pepper, or whatever vegetables you have around, and cook a minute or two longer. Add the noodles, and cook until they separate, then stir in the soup base package and serve. (note: add more water if needed to keep vegetables and things covered)
3) Zucchini soup: Buy a can of condensed tomato soup, two zucchinis, garlic and some parmesan cheese. Finely grate the zucchinis and garlic into a pot and fry in some olive oil until it starts to get soft (~5 min). Add the tomato soup and one can full of water, and simmer for another 5 min or until the soup is heated through. Serve with parmesan cheese on top. This work best with nice parmesan cheese that isn't half salt, but any will do.
4) Beans and toast: Buy a can of beans in tomato sauce. Warm some up in the microwave and put them on toast. Nutritious and delicious ;) If you're not going to eat the rest of the beans right away, put them in tupperware or something and freeze them; I can't tell the difference between previously frozen beans and 'fresh' ones.
5) Lentil Dahl is an excellent idea! (see the second or third post)

I think you should eat more from breakfast than just OJ and poptarts.
Try eating simple and healthy things like....
Poached eggs on toast. (Poaching can be tricky at first but you can easily pick up a microwavable egg poacher pretty cheap if you want to cheat) Healthy low sugar cereal and semi-skimmed milk. Crumpets and Jam! Porridge (Oatmeal) and honey!
But make sure you eat a decent breakfast each day! ^_^
As for dinners, it's not all that hard.
Pasta is great and works as a great base for meals. Simply add a cup of pasta to boiling water with a little oil. (like half a teaspoon). Give it a good stir every few minutes and eat a bit to see if it's cooked. If it tastes like cooked pasta, it is! It shouldn't be hard or too chewy. Usually takes about 15mins to cook.
Then the possibilities are endless. You can add a tins of chopped tomatoes or a chunk of mozerella to the pasta and heat up. Chicken works well as do meatballs, bacon and mince!
And since you like potatoes, they are really easy to cook! Add potatoes to boiling water. check by stabbing the biggest potato with a knife. If knife slides in easily with very little resistance, potatoes are cooked.
Most Vegetables can be cooked in this way, like carrots, cauliflower and brocolli. If you want peas, just throw some in the same pot as the rest of the veg. If you are feeling REALLY lazy, you can cook veg in the microwave too as long as you fill the dish with water and cover with cling film.
As for meats... Well....For most meats like chicken, burgers, pork chops or sausages, the usual test is to take the biggest piece and cut into the middle. If it's pink in the center, or still bloody, it's not cooked! Steaks are cooked to preference and take some practice. XD For larger joints, you may want to invest in a meat thermometer.
Since those are the basics, You should be able to use most recipes and every make some dishes for yourself! ^_^ I know it's not a meal plan, But I figured it may help if you lack skills in cooking. Basics are essential to all learning!

This is called tuna buns. I'm not sure how many people it serves.
Ingredients 3 eggs 1/4 pound processed cheese food, diced 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish (optional) 1 (6 ounce) can tuna, drained 2 tablespoons minced onion 1/2 cup creamy salad dressing e.g. Miracle Whip ™ 3 tablespoons chopped stuff green olives 4 hamburger/hot dog buns
Directions 1. Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring water to a boil and immediately remove from heat. Cover and let eggs stand in hot water for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from hot water, cool, peel, and chop. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C)
2. In a mixing bowl, combine eggs, processed cheese food, sweet pickle relish and tuna. Stir in the onion, creamy salad dressing and green olives. Mix thoroughly.
3. Spoon the mixture onto the hamburger buns, then wrap in aluminum foil.
4. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until cheese is thoroughly melted.

One of my favorite meals that is also super easy to make is Chicken and Rice Casserole.
What you need: 1 package of boneless chicken breast (preferably the kind with 8ish two-finger wide pieces, although normal sized pieces will work too, it will just take longer to cook) 1 family sized cream of chicken soup can 2 cups 5-minute rice 2 cups water paprika (optional)
Directions: preheat oven to 400 degrees combine soup, rice, and water in a medium sized and deep baking pan (metal) mix well place chicken on top sprinkle lightly with paprika bake 30-45 minutes until chicken is no longer pink in middle, or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of at least 165. (You may want to stir rice halfway through so the top layer cooks properly)
This dish is best served with a cooked green vegetable, such as green beans, zucchini or broccoli.

Dan.. this is only a few things but they are very healthy minus the occasional use of olive oil. (which isn't that bad).. chicken breasts. usually Tyson is the best. boneless, easy to cook in a skillet with no oil. if you need oil, use olive oil. Add some paprika and a tiny bit of tyme or curry powder while cooking. too much makes it nasty add some salt (if you must) and pepper with a side of spinach leaves with some vinegar based salad dressing makes for a great lunch as it is fast and easy. i suggest this works better on a grill but grill are expensive if you dont have one. fresh mushrooms sautéed make a good side for dinner or lunch as well and is fast easy and cheep if you just use that and some olive oil. v8 is great with all of these if you like regular v8 . for variety there are many kinds of v8. if you decide to make a stir fry i suggest using whole grain and not white. white has no nutritional value but yes it is good regardless, both are easy to make. if you have a SAM'S or a health food store look for Quinoa (pronounced: Keen-wa) as a rice alternative, plus it has much more protein than most grains. good luck! have fun cooking buy lots of different spices even ones that are really weird u will be surprised how handy they can be

Try getting some noodles or rice and making something asian I lovee chinese, malaysian, thai and indian food and its mostly healthy and there's lots of stuff you can make As long as you can handle the heat of some indian and malaysian dishes i think they'd be a great change up to regular meals. So you could make one of these like once a week for lunch or dinner You could try making something like Mee Goreng which is a malaysian/indonesian noodle dish that's awesomee !! You'll need stuff like: Egg noodles Garlic Chillies, chilli sauce Tofu Prawns or any other meat you want Bean sprouts tomatoes I personally love this meal and I suggest you go to the Food Network website to check for any recipes again, its called "Mee Goreng"

Tacos, It may sound complicated. But there are packages at the grocery store, with seasoning mix. taco sauce, and shells, and there are instructions on the box. All you need to purchase, is the box, which ever meat you chose (i believe it tells you how to make tacos with fish beef and chicken) and what ever topping you wish to adorn your tacos with. For beef tacos, all you need to do, is brown and stir the meat, drain it, mix in the taco seasoning (and water if the box tells you) and put the shells in the oven for a bit (to warm them). Then you can enjoy tacos It is delicious simple and healthy
