My sister got me this Great cook book for my birthday. And I have yet to cook something from it. But I would feel very accomplished if you would happen to cook something from it. So, here is one of the many easy recipes from: "Food Everyday" from the kitchens of Martha Stewart. lol, martha stewart. ik right.
Maybe a smoothie will do you some good: ==>Peach-Strawberry Smoothie 2 ripe peaches 1 cup strawberries (fresh or frozen: don't thaw) 1 cup milk 1-2 tsp. sugar 1 cup ice cubes now Blend it together
Or, you can simply hire me as a personal chef. Seriously, send me a message and I can give you my info.

An amazing dish is simply penne noodles and chicken with basil pesto. (http://simplyrecipes.com/recipes/fresh_basil_pesto/). It's healthy, cheap, and easy to make!

That's not allowed in the suggestion rules - after a month of not eating meat the human body starts to lose the ability to process meat protiens.
For Dan to go vegetarian for an entire year would mean that he's pretty much a vegetarian for life, which is, as I said, against the rules, because that means that Dan would be committing to a task that would last well past the Dan 3.0 year. That's part of why I said in my other post that he shouldn't go vegetarian (the main part being that it's very easy to screw up if you don't know what you're doing - which Dan has already admitted to)Um where did you hear that..? All he'd need to do is take enzymes with his meals until his body know he's eating meat again. But anyways vegetarianism isn't healthy, and I wouldn't suggest Dan goes vegetarian. There are far healthier ways of eating than that, and they're better for the planet. Source of knowledge: my studies My studies: biology, medicine and food science My goal: Becoming a dietitian Inspiriation: My family and my housemates Am I touchy, pompous, and arrogant on this subject? Yes
In my house you'll find a vegan, a vegetarian, two people with ciliac's disease, and an incredibly picky eater. I know how to cook in such a way that they're all happy, and eating properly. I personally eat anything I'm not allergic to.
And, yes, I know that there's enzymes that he can take, they don't work, and they're expensive, and they'll make things worse before they make things better - after a year of no meat products Dan would have a hard time with broth, never mind anything else.
I'm also not bashing vegetarians, it's a perfectly healthy choice if you know what you're doing, which isn't as often as many like to think. Hell, the only reason that I DON'T go vegetarian is because I'm allergic to half of the high-protien alternatives.
In the end, all I'm really saying is that Dan shouldn't become a vegetarian for the entire year. A weekend vegetarian would be fine, but not the year.

Get some 7-Grain pasta (healthier than white pasta) Cook 2 oz of it in boiling water for 11 mins Grill 4 oz of skinless chicken breast. Cut the chicken into extremely small pieces. After the pasta has finished cooking, drain and mix the pasta and chicken together. Add sauce and grated cheese. AWESOME. Oh, I almost forgot. If you don't have a George Foreman grill, get one. They make life so much easier. yep good eats thats a great idea !

Okay PogoTribe, I need your help. One thing I have discovered living on my own is that cooking is not a skill that comes entirely naturally to me... that is to say that I've been living off of pizza rolls, microwavable chicken pot pies, peanut butter and jelly, etc. I'll talk about this more at length in today's D3P0, but what I'd like for you to do is to come up with a week long meal plan for me. Find recipes that are cheap, delicious, easy and healthy and link 'em here. I'm writing this really quickly so that I have something to link to when today's episode goes live-- I'll be updating this post as we move forward. www.americastestkitchen.com/ you can get pleanty of recipies

Here's my favorite recipe. made it many times and loved it! This'll feed you for a few days: Ingredients: 2 Lbs Ground turkey 14.5 Oz tomato sauce (1 can) 1/4 t cumin 1 T chili powder 1 t beef bouillon 1/4 t salt 3 cloves garlic 1/2 onion
Brown meat in frying pan. Pour off excess water. blitz the rest of the ingredients in a blender. pour them into the meat. Let it cook on low until it reaches preferred consistency (at least 30 min) stirring occasionally. serve with your favorite tortilla chips. I don't know about cost, but this is definitely an easy recipe that tastes great!

Dan, are you still going to do this even though you're moving back in with your mom? I hope so. A lot of your viewer put a lot of thought into this for you.

I know you're going to be returning to the family compound, but this might be a decent suggestion for future reference.
Though I can cook decently, I often don't have the time. So instead of resorting to the pre-made, nutritionally-dubious freezerfoods I usually keep a stock of the bagged salad mixes (romaine, spring mix and spinach--iceberg isn't very nutritious), quality turkey & ham from a grocery store deli, cheese, etc. I chop up the deli meat & cheese, mix it into the salad, and I've got a darned respectable meal nutrition-wise. Change around meats, toppings and salad dressings, and it doesn't get too monotonous. And you can feel good about getting the vitamins and such that you need!

whatthefuckshouldimakefordinner.com is definitely a good one to find new dishes you can make. it will randomly generate a dish and you can click on it for a link to the recipe, or ask for a different meal idea or a vegetarian option. very useful when you're indecisive like me!

pasta is always good. and actually i really like just straight up pb&j's however i dont use white bread, or "Creamy" factory peanut butter. only smart balance and my friend makes breakfast burritos, just with tortilla shells, cheese, and beans (he's a vegetarian) sometimes it's better to stay simple with 2-5 ingrediant meals, rather than long tedious ones. n_n
