Some books are classics for a reasons: two of my favourite fantasy stories are The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia.

My Experience with Twilight: I read the first book when my friend had told me about how good it was -- this must have been right around when it came out. I then went on to read New Moon and Eclipse, both of which I liked as well. Then I went to high school and realized that the writing style was terrible. I tried to read Breaking Dawn. I couldn't finish it. It was just very boring.
The whole Twilight phenomenon is over-hyped. It was fun while it lasted, but seriously. Teenagers should have better role models than Stephanie Meyer.

Let's remember that this is a relationship between a frickin human and a vampire. How in the world is that in anyway a justification? Just because Sparklepants is a vampire doesn't excuse what he's doing as not abusive. And if you don't think that Sparklepants is abusive...: applesparkles.wikia.com/wiki/ZOMFG_HOW_CAN_U_SAI_EDWARD%27S_ABUSIVE%3F%3F!!1!! If you said this to the loving couple described in the story, they'd rip your head off xD It's not a fair judgement. ORLY? Let's say the man in the relationship in questioned was not, in fact, a werewolf. But let's say that he had a different problem of being an alchoholic. Either way, the man still abused the lady in said relationship, and her crawling back due to this "imprinting/twu wuv" crap only shows the negative messages this little plot thread is sending. This case could've been justified if the author actually adressed in a way (showing us, mind you, not telling us) that this relationship is abusive. Yet this simply isn't the case. And, I can think of several. Alice, Rosalie, Esme, Victoria, Jane, and I think there's a couple more. Oh, and of course you're going to be inferior to those who can run at the speed of sound while maintaining a thirst for your blood. !!!DO NOT CLICK THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED THE SERIES!!! btw, Bella doesn't seem inferior to the rest when she becomes a vampire ...I'm not going to bother with this one... applesparkles.wikia.com/wiki/THE_BUX_RNT_SEXIST!!!!_BELLA_MAKES_HER_OWN_CHOICES!!! applesparkles.wikia.com/wiki/WTH_IS_A_MARY_SUE%3F%3F_AND_WUT_DO_U_MEEN_BELLA_IS_1%3F%3FI'm starting to think that you just really love to hate the series, like most people do. Well, who doesn't love hating incredibly stupid things? That's the philosophy of the Nostalgia Critic and the Angry Video Game Nerd. And just look at how well that philosophy's done them! ..Anyway, if you want my opinion on a real, decent fantasy, I have four words: Harry. Blackstone. Copperfield. Dresden.

orz, broken link Once again, orz. All of those points are incredibly fallacious. Examples? Alice's visions have proven VERY effective, thanks. We already went over Edward's "Abusive" behavior. I'm really not interested in why Alice's love for doing feminine things is sexist. Bella enjoys taking care of her father. There are plenty of females in the world who are annoying, petty, weak, and shallow. I mean, you could say that all the males in the book are egotistical, possessive, and unnecessarily competitive. It's something we see in every day life. For the most part, it's true. Example? Well, You are being very annoying and petty right now. 2/4 is not bad. I haven't asked you out or challenged you to an arm wrestle, so I have no idea whether you're shallow or weak. All of these points are just propaganda. PDBAZ I'm starting to think that you just really love to hate the series, like most people do. Well, who doesn't love hating incredibly stupid things? That's the philosophy of the Nostalgia Critic and the Angry Video Game Nerd. And just look at how well that philosophy's done them! I don't love to hate things. I hate hating things, and I wish the things I hate would just disappear. I really don't get a kick out of talking about things I hate because they sincerely bother me. Am I the only one who thinks this way?

Don't even get me started on cathrine hardwick - that women annoys me so much you wouldn't believe
Books are always better then the movies, I have yet to find an example where this is not the case.
and i don't completely agree that they screwed up the half-blood prince but one thing I will say is that i was so pissed off that they burnt down the burrow and just so they could give helena bohem carter an extra scene

I KNW!!I was so p.o'd ! and also, I hate Cathrene Hardwicke too! She totally messed up the first movie for me! In a review, this one dude said "If Kristen Stewert thinks that stuttering, biting her lip, and being akward is acting, then she gets a Acadamy Award!" (I hate KS so much...she's just a terrible actor)

What is the point of wasting time being anti-twilight? It has been released and liked by many readers. You cannot change time. It's just easier to find other things you like instead of negativity. Anything you say will not be read by a twilight fan and spreading hate is just pointless. By the way, i do not like twilight i just like other books more

And the fact of the matter is people who don't like twilight have just as much right to say so, and explain their reasons why as people who do like twilight.

I'm reading a fantasy series "ranger's apprentice" and i love it because it is awesome and i have other more language and writing style related reasons. I think lord of the rings is pure win and harry potter films should have been filmed exactly the same as the books, because the amount of facts that have been changed increases with each movie.

harry potter films should have been filmed exactly the same as the books, because the amount of facts that have been changed increases with each movie. I think it's fair enough when they take stuff out that isn't vital to the plot, but when they take loads of stuff out and then replace it with stuff that isn't in the books that annoys me.

I like how the movies really show who Bella got her personality from xD "That's it, you're going to Jacksonville to live with your mother..." ~ Charlie

Although, I think the people who casted Twilight did a FANTASTIC job with picking everyone. They're all EXACTLY as I pictured in the book, except for Charlie and Jasper. Jasper's still my favorite character, though
